Between the ages of1 and 3 toddlers are rapidly moving away from babyhood searching out new adventures every minute of every day. At this stage of development they are learning to talk, to walk and run, and asserting their independence. ‘Outside’ and ‘play’ become a major part of their daily activities and desires. Parents naturally are concerned with keeping their children safe while offering lots of chances to explore and learn. Giving your kids the freedom and space to investigate the world is such an important part of nurturing their development. Exploring also gives your toddlers a way to improve important motor skills like kicking a ball or climbing stairs. They will keep at It until they get it ight and will insist on doing it by themselves. Letting toddlers explore is a great way to see that they get enough exercise and physical activity. Climbing is a favorite activity for most toddlers – climbing helps increase motor skills and coordination. Parents should be nearby at all times but be sure to give kids plenty of room to expand their horizons on their own. You shouldn’t try to manage every aspect of the activity – we learn from our mistakes too! A toddler’s exploration can be assisted with something simple like a walk outside or adding a home play set to their environment. Play set construction kits offer an imaginative child the opportunity of endless choice in what the toy can become from one day to the next – whatever their imagination demands. It can become a car, a castle, a fort, a play house. Our play sets are easy to assemble and rearrange and easy to clean. The size is just right for young kids aged 1-3, and are expandable too. At http://www.safetyswimandplay.com we take pride In offering the best construction play sets available at great discount prices. We hope you will come and have a look at the great variety of choices - there’s something for every size room or yard.

Your first thought about a playset is probably pretty generic – triangular shape, a couple of swings, a slide and maybe a glider of some kind. Today’s modular plastic play systems are anything but generic and boring. Parents want to be sure that what they are purchasing has the flexibility to change as their children develop muscles and skills; and the ability to change its shape easily is also big plus. Many things must be taken into consideration - starting with the simplest features such as what it’s made of. Wooden playsets will need yearly maintenance to prevent the wood from drying out. Wood also will require repainting to keep its colors vivid and appealing to children. . Your kids playset should be easy to clean, be made of smooth plastic that won’t damage household surfaces and can go safely in any room. The fasteners used to assemble the playset should be safe for use around children with no exposed screws or bolts that could cause injury. You will want your playset to be easy to assemble with basic tools. We can offer discount price playsets that range in size from our smallest kit for toddlers - ‘My First Quadro’ - to large climbers and swimming pool platforms to help in learning to swim. Our wide range of prices will fit any budget with a variety of sizes to fit in any room or yard. Orders can ship within 2-3 days. As your child grows the way they play changes along with them. As an infant their way of playing may have been to shake or throw something. As they are developing better control over fingers and hands, they become aware of what things are and how they work. At about 3 years of age, the concept of pretend play comes out. Toys that encourage this developmental stage create a sense of satisfaction for them and encourage them to move on to a more challenging task, like putting things together. While helping them to build up new skills, parents should be sure to provide lots of opportunities to be active while learning and exploring in safe surroundings. Using a play set or jungle gym like the StarterII gives your toddler the chance to have more say in how his or her play set is set up and now even to help build it! It provides a safe play environment in your backyard, basement or even bedrooms. This kit has so many different ways to assemble it and can fit any size space le indoors or outdoors. It’s easy for parents to supervise play. We’re proud to offer these high quality construction play sets for your toddler or preschooler at a discounted price and offer a terrific selection – new products have been added! Every DIY play set comes with complete step-by-step instructions so anyone with basic handyman skills can easily put them together. See us at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Special Comfort for the Child Going through the Anxiety of Separation
Most parents would love nothing more than to spend all of their time home with their children, but at some point, they must return to the workforce. When this moment comes, it’s not only the parents who have a hard time with it, but the child does as well. Separation anxiety in children is a powerful emotional struggle and one that can scar them for life. These scars can be subtle, but endure for a lifetime. Using a warm teddy bear from Snuggables can offer them an important transition as you head back to work.
Young children become attached to their parents almost from the moment they are born. They look to the mother as their primary source of protection and food and when they are nursing, teething, wet, or cold, they find warmth within their mother’s embrace. When the day comes to spend time away from the child, that child will be nervous, scared, and seeking the warmth and comfort –that safety- that they have become accustomed to.
A teddy bear from Snuggables offers soothing comfort for any child. Introducing a teddy bear, and the warmth that it offers, to the child before reaching that dreaded day when you have to leave him or her in the care of someone else will give them the comfort and warmth that they will be seeking when you’re not there.
Separation anxiety, if prolonged, can lead to stress-related health issues, especially in young children. Relying on a Snuggables teddy bear will help alleviate that stress and give your child the confidence to handle any situation in life. http://www.snuggables.net

When the time has come that you’ve decided your kids would benefit from having a playset or jungle gym toy of their own, you have a lot of things to take into consideration. First and foremost is your child’s safety, followed by the longevity of the toy selected. Secretly, parents wonder if it will be money well spent. Flexibility in the playset to adapt to a child’s growing needs is critical. Another important factor is what’s involved in the maintenance of the play set. A playset that can be cleaned easily with just soap and water fills the bill, and if it is made of long lasting materials that won’t need repair or repainting is a big plus. A play set from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com can answer all these questions very simply: our play sets are made of soft polyresin plastic materials that stay colorful for a lifetime, without any parts that might cause scrapes or injuries, and require minimum maintenance. Play sets range in size from our smallest kit for toddlers - ‘My First Quadro’ - to large climbers and swimming pool platforms that aid in learning to swim. We have a wide range of prices to fit any budget and sizes that can fit in any room or yard. Additional parts can be ordered at any time to increase unit size and possibilities in design as your kids’ play needs and abilities develop. Please check out all the great selections at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com today!

Soothe Separation Anxiety with Warm Stuffed Animals
As children grow up, they have to deal with a number of situations that are completely new to them. Some of these situations can cause them a great deal of anxiety. When a child is comforted by the warmth and closeness of his or her parents in bed and has to learn to sleep in their own bed, this can lead to separation anxiety.
As adults, it can be too easy to forget all the mysteries that lie hidden in the dark. The shadows that linger beneath the full moon’s glare, the sounds of tree limbs scraping against the window, or neighborhood cats hissing somewhere in the distance. These are all things that we take for granted, but for a young child, they could be the monsters that hide under their bed, the creatures and things that frighten them when they’re all alone.
Anxiety is unhealthy for anyone and for children; prolonged anxiety can cause a host of mental issues later in life. However, this doesn’t mean that they can’t make it through the night on their own. They simply need to feel the warmth and assurance of something else with them to help endure their fears and fight off those strange sounds in the night.
Warm stuffed animals from Snuggables are the solution to separation anxiety in children. The warmth from the special microwavable heat pack inside your Snuggables stuffed animal, assures that your child will not only have a best friend to sleep with but also that reassuring warmth that your body offered them in your bed. Let your child sleep soundly, peacefully, and happily with a Snuggables stuffed animal. http://www.snuggables.net

Why is it important for children to do cardio exercises? Because researchers have discovered that just twenty minutes of doing things like jumping, hopping, or even having an old-fashioned wheel barrow race works the musculoskeletal system enough to improve strength by as much as 75%! The more muscle mass kids have the higher their metabolism, which means strength training has the extra benefit of keeping weight in check. There are three elements essential to optimal physical fitness: endurance, strength and flexibility. Pull-ups and other exercises help tone and strengthen muscles while building flexibility. When kids use activities like climbing they are also developing strength and balance. Reaching and stretching are also activities that develop flexibility. Endurance comes through active play or aerobic activity. Getting stronger and improving ability to accomplish more physical activities helps preschoolers and kindergartners gain confidence and increase feelings of self worth.
All exercise that gets the heart pumping counts as a cardio workout – here’s a list to help you and your children get started:
1. Skipping rope – it burns more calories per minute than almost any other type of aerobic exercise.
2. Running around – playing with the dog or running from the bottom of a slide back to the top are great ways to get little hearts pumping (works for mom or dad too!)
3. Swimming in a pool – exercise in water adds up to 12 times the resistance to the movement process plus swimming builds endurance and strength.
4. Jumping in a bouncy house – just sounds like lots of fun but it also provides great aerobic exercise while helping improve balance and coordination.
5. Climbing and swinging – builds muscle strength and coordination and hanging by one’s knees is a terrific way to get a new look at the world.
All of our play sets also parents full open visibility of children’s activities so parents can ensure kids optimum safety at all times. Make sure little ones always follow a few simple safety rules like always using hand rails or one at a time on the slides. Once children begin to regularly add fitness activities into their daily lives, they are more likely to reduce the risks of obesity or diabetes. A play set designed to offer your toddler their own special safe place to play, climb and be active makes getting more exercise fun. We offer play sets for young children at the best discount prices available. See the many choices and sizes available from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

When children are active they tend to develop stronger self-esteem and more confidence. Little kids figure out how to handle difficult situations and simply have a better outlook on life by playing with toys that challenge them and offer opportunities to explore and discover. By playing and pretending, toddlers are practicing what they see in the world around them. Their toys are supposed to be fun while being part of their healthy development. You can help your child to exercise more by camouflaging fitness as fun activity such as climbing or hanging upside down. It isn’t easy to encourage healthier living today but instilling good heart-healthy habits early in life decreases the risk of young children developing grown-up type health issues. Our play sets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com may not technically be ‘exercise equipment’, but a simple backyard play set will get children up from the couch and using their muscles and imaginations. Start toddlers and young children on the right foot to a lifelong habit of exercise – while disguising it as play! Our play sets are easy to put up and take down and are made of safe, non-toxic materials. These play structures have the ability to change and grow with your child as he or she grows and develops. A world of fun and adventure waits for your youngster when you choose an imaginative and fun play set from safetyswimandplay.com.

Having a playset for your toddler or young child will provide challenging activities proven to help them grow and develop to their fullest potential. As they explore and play on their new playset your child will gain confidence in themselves. Playing with kids their own age expands social skills necessary in school. Active play helps kids get more exercise which will keep them fit.
It’s important to have a set of safety rules for your child’s playset or swimming pool area in your backyard and public place, to make sure that the kids understand what the rules are, and that you make sure the rules are followed. Kids should always take climbing slowly - one step at a time, always holding hand rails. Kids should also be sure the landing area at the bottom of a slide is clear of other kids or toys before sliding down. These may seem obvious but making a point of being sure everyone knows the safest way to play will decrease the chances of injury.
Our Playsets with slides can not only be used in your swimming pool but also work as a backyard playground The all-plastic components are non-rusting and come in brilliant colors – tropical yellow & blue combos or red, yellow, blue and green. Most kids love the slide best of all playground equipment so having one of their own to play on makes your own yard the most appealing play area in the neighborhood. See what’s available today at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Parents face the challenge of helping their children de¬velop active and healthy lifestyles. Combining knowledge
and activity will help convince children that exercise is important to their well-being and increase the chance that
physical activity will be¬come a permanent part of their daily lives. While a true genetic cause of obesity is rare;
When children become obese by age 6, the probability increases significantly that obesity will be a problem
into adulthood. In one state, statistics show 33% of girls and 34% of boys are overweight. Kids are now contracting
diseases that usually afflict adults - such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Our kids are getting less than
15 minutes of vigorous exercise a day – this is not good. Every child needs to have at least an hour of vigorous
play activity every day. Young children (ages 2-5) need their own ‘safe’ play areas. Kids of this age are developing
their range of skills and muscles and so they tend to be less coordinated than older, bigger kids. Having their
own playset, offers a way of beginning to have a permanent healthy lifestyle while providing a place for
little imaginations to run wild. Our play sets come in bright colors kids will love, there are no
exposed screws to scrape, no toxic chemicals, and they will last a lifetime. Our playsets are ADA accessible
to children with any type of disabilities. Because of the do-it-yourself assembly, each kit can be
easily changed to become many different toys – a car, a pirate ship etc. Try a beginners construction kit for
your toddler and fire up their imagination – go to
Kits for Toddlers for a closer look at the fun
construction kits available.

It’s only with play that much of a child’s early learning happens. Physical, emotional and intellectual development is dependent upon activity. Opportunities for play should be a big part of a kindergartners program – touching, manipulating, exploring and testing Children imitate adults through play and experiment with what it means to be a grown up. It is important for parents to search out toys that will encourage toddlers to play with objects like toy phones and blocks. This is the age when the concept of ‘pretend’ begins to emerge. Naturally lots of learning is through imitation of what they see around them, activities their parents take part in every day such as getting in the car or cooking the food.
A large part of what your children should see you do is be physically active and eat a healthy diet. One of the most important issues facing American health today is the growing obesity epidemic. All that you need to do is take a look around at any public gathering and you will see the truth that NO ONE is getting enough exercise! Every child – including one and two year olds – needs to have 60 minutes of active play every day. When we start toddlers and young children off in the right direction encouraging them and demonstrating to them how to form the lifelong habit of physical activity you are giving them the gift of health and fitness. Once children begin to regularly add fitness activities to their daily lives, they can reduce the risks of obesity and diabetes. It’s tougher to raise kids today than it was even 10 years ago. Parents now are concerned about diet and exercise as well as kids’ safety and development. As adults, we are becoming more aware of the need to be sure that the first of those new abilities is developing the lifelong habit of being more fit; an active child is a fit and healthy child. At the same time as they are playing whatever the activity -climbing on a playset and hanging by their knees to see what the world looks like upside down - your children are also exercising. It can be as simple as bike rides around the block or running to play tag in the yard – we all need to change our lifestyles by making time to get moving!
When your kids start out early with our playsets a fitter child is almost a side effect of playing, having fun while using their imaginations These playsets can ‘grow’ with your child as you start out small and add-on to the playset as the kids grow. There are so many options: from one simple playset – up/down, slides, drop-holes, hiding places and more. The design of our playsets offers plenty of visibility so parents can supervise activity and make sure kids are safe. Of course we’re not saying that playsets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com are ‘exercise equipment’ like a Bowflex, but these backyard playsets DO get children up off the couch and using their imaginations instead of pushing buttons. Starting toddlers and young children off on the right foot to a lifelong habit of exercise – while disguising it as play! Clever Mom & Dad!

Remote controlled Helicopters – Interesting Toys for Kids of all Ages
A remote controlled helicopter is a good toy to keep a child occupied and also it will improve his abilities to maneuver such gadgets. You could buy them online and there are very many varieties choose from. There is no need of extra skills to fly them either.
You have electrically powered RC Helicopters as well as gas powered ones. The gas powered ones are at a disadvantage as they emit exhaust gases while the electrically powered ones do not pose such hassles. Also they could be flown for a longer duration of time as some of them are equipped with powerful batteries.
Since you have a few controls that need to be handled efficiently in order to fly a remote helicopter, you need some experience to do some of the maneuvers. However, it will not take long to learn how to maneuver these little gadgets. You need to choose your RC helicopter depending on the age and the skill level of your kid of all Ages.

When children are active they tend to develop stronger self-esteem and more confidence. Little kids learn to handle difficult situations and will simply have a better outlook on life when playing with toys that give them the opportunity to explore and discover. When toddlers are playing and pretending, they are practicing what they see in the world around them. Their toys are supposed to be fun as well as being part of their healthy development. Make your children excited to exercise by camouflaging fitness as fun activity when kids are climbing and playing. It isn’t easy to encourage healthier living today but instilling good heart-healthy habits early in life decreases the risk of young children developing grown-up type health issues. While we are not saying that playsets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com are the ideal ‘exercise equipment’, but a backyard playset will get children up from the couch and using their imaginations. Start toddlers and young children on the right foot to a lifelong habit of exercise – while disguising it as play! Our playsets are easy to put up and take down and are made of safe, non-toxic materials plus having the ability to change and grow as your chlld grows and becomes stronger.

Play is more than playing around – its serious business. Children need daily play. Studies continuously show that play makes kids happier, healthier, smarter and more social. Unfortunately, American kids are suffering from a “play deficit”. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that only one out of five children happens to live within a half mile of a park or playground. Children today are spending less time playing outdoors than any previous generation according to a study by the Stanford University School of Medicine. One reason is there are far too few places to play and also less playtime in a child’s day. These are challenging economic times and organizations all over our country are becoming involved with the idea of reducing kids’ play deficit. A simple solution any family can take to increase playtime for their children is to bring the playground to them with an easy to install. versatile playset of their own. Giving kids a place for physical activity such as sliding and climbing on a playset provides challenging activities to help your pre-schooler grow and develop fully. Setting up a playset for your kids in their own backyard, basement or even the bedroom makes it more than easy for them to get enough playtime and activity in the safety of their own home. The versatility offered in our playsets means it can turn into a new toy every day if your child desires – our smallest construction kits could be made into a car, a house, a castle or almost anything your toddler can imagine. Easy step by step instructions are included and only basic handyman skills are necessary. Please check into the great selection we offer at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com where you will find a great selection of playsets at great prices.

Summer’s not over yet so that means there is still time for swimming pool fun. Childhood development experts have found that swimming lessons for infants and toddlers can lead to an increase in intelligence, concentration, alertness and perception. Children also show improvement in their social, emotional and physical development. Platforms and benches in the swimming pool can help little kids conquer fear of the water by giving them their own special place to be and do their own thing. Children should never be left alone in the water and with our water play sets parents can be right by their kids side giving encouragement while they are learning. Platforms can be installed in water that is only 2 or 3 feet deep (extra uprights at the bottom will increase how deep the water can be) – adding ballast like play sand will keep the sets from floating. Give your youngsters an advantage in learning to swim by using a platform or pool bench. We take the difficulty out of the decision because our pool toys and platforms come at such great discount prices.

Commuting Made Easy
Commuting to and from work or making short trips to the convenient store, to the library, or to a friend’s home can be a hassle or can be pleasurable, even fun, if we have an alternative to driving the 2000lb car or SUV. Many have taken to walking some of these trips but when the trip extends beyond a mile or so, we need to look at alternative means of travel. Many European countries and many U.S. States for that matter have rediscovered short distance travel by bicycle. A number of companies and stores have installed bike racks for the safe storage of the rider’s bike when they arrive for work or shopping. A cool thing about bike travel today is the advent of the power assisted electric bicycle. You can travel 20+ miles between charges at speeds up to 24mph.
On this site you will find a complete selection of electric bicycles including ones that fold up for easy carry into your place of work or for putting it into your vehicle to take on road trips.
While on the site check out all the other ride on products for ages 2 to 22 and older.

The wants and needs of kids change rapidly as they move through the various stages of growing up. As a baby, they want to be held, fed, and comforted. Toddlers, 1-3yrs old start to experience their need for freedom and independence. Safe pull-up toys, ®GI Joe, ®Barbie and things that make noise satisfy these little ones. At some age which varies from child to child, usually in the range of 3-6yrs old, kids needs change significantly. Their wants and needs are influenced by older siblings, dad or mom or even people and things they see on TV. They want toys that move and they want toys that mimic what they see others doing.

When the time has come that you’ve decided your kids would benefit from having a play set or jungle gym toy of their own, you have a lot of things to take into consideration. First and foremost is your child’s safety, followed by the longevity of the product selected. Another important factor is what’s involved in the maintenance of the play set. The best choices will clean easily with just soap and water and are made of life time lasting materials that don’t need repair or repainting. A play set from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com can answer all these questions very simply: our play sets are made of soft polyresin plastic materials that stay colorful for a lifetime, without any exposed screws or bolts that might cause scrapes or injuries, and have minimum maintenance. Play sets range in size from our smallest kit for toddlers - ‘My First Quadro’ - to large climbers and swimming pool platforms. We have a wide range of prices to fit any budget and sizes that can fit in any room or yard. Please check out all the great selections at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com today!

Physical activity such as sliding and climbing on playsets provide challenging activities to help your pre-schooler grow and develop to their fullest potential. Your child will learn confidence in themselves and expand the social skills they will need in school, and get the benefits of more exercise.
Because swings, slides and climbing equipment are so different from one another, each requires a different set of safety considerations. A few rules are as important as the safety of the play structure your kids will use. Make sure your kids learn to take one step at a time on the ladder and to hold the hand rail at all times. Be sure they know the safest way to slide is always feet first and sitting up and make sure the landing area at the bottom of the slide is clear of other kids or obstacles.
Our Playsets with slides can not only be used in your swimming pool but also work as a backyard playground The all-plastic components are non-rusting with no sharp edges that could cause injury. Most kids love the slide best of all playground equipment so having one of their own to play on makes your own yard the most appealing play area in the neighborhood. We can offer affordable pricing because we are a small internet business with no overhead. See what’s available today at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

When should toddlers learn to swim? Depends on how old they are. The American Academy of Pediatrics used to recommend swimming lessons for ages 4 and up but they are no longer against aquatic programs and lessons for young toddlers and preschoolers of ages 1 to 4 years. Researchers have documented that infant/toddler swimming lessons have the potential to increase intelligence, concentration, alertness, and perceptual abilities. Your young child’s needs must be respected while they learn in an environment of joy and acceptance, never compromising your baby’s well-being. Water is an incredibly soothing medium – it feels good to float and feel weightless. The buoyancy of the water is like an invisible helping hand and that is why it is so often used in therapy situations.
This zero gravity allows for freedoms that do not exist on dry land making optimal learning conditions which combined with patience can release even hurting child from their shell. For youngsters with many types of problems swimming can be a calming environment for developing and growing together with parents.
Lessons, of course, don’t make your children ‘drown proof’ but they are the optimum way to teach kids to enjoy being in the water and gain confidence. Children show improvement in emotional and physical development. Lessons can also teach the parents a few things about how to be safe around the water.
No program is, obviously, a substitute for adult supervision and learning water safety. Young children’s readiness to learn to swim doesn’t increase with early lessons – they seem to learn to swim well at the same age – 5½ - even if they started earlier. That’s the time their body’s coordination and mental control come together. Making sure that everyone involved, adults as well children, becomes acquainted with the safety skills available with early swimming lessons will find it life enhancing as well as potentially lifesaving.
It is imperative that children are never left alone near or in the water. Always make sure an adult is watching closely – if you have to leave for any amount of time, make sure another adult has taken over. Create a checklist of safety rules and review these each and every time children go in the water. Toddlers in particular often do something unexpected because their capabilities change daily. Drownings can happen in less than two minutes. 77% of victims had been missing from sight only 5 minutes or less.
Some basic safety rules for all children near or in the water should include:
• No pushing or holding anyone under the water
• No heads under water in the deep end
• No running, pushing or jumping
• Keep float mats and other toys away from faces
• No toys larger than a baby’s head in water with toddlers unless an adult is holding it. It’s too easy for a small child to get tangled up and suffocate in plastic mats and toys.
• Keep a cell phone near you at the pool – it can save precious minutes in an emergency
Summertime isn’t complete without some fun in the pool. We are proud to offer sturdy, safe pool platforms and benches that will enhance your child’s swimming experience. Our prices are great and we offer free shipping. There are some bright fun pool toys to choose from at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

Jungle gyms and other types of climbing toys come in many shapes and sizes including things like rock climbing walls, arches and vertical or horizontal ladders. These types of toys can be more challenging for kids than other types of playground equipment. For toddler use, remember that some toddlers develop faster than others and expect them to do the unexpected as their capabilities change every day. Parents should provide lots of opportunities for being active while learning and exploring in safe surroundings. Parents should look for toys that encourage this activity and help to give toddlers and preschoolers a sense of satisfaction while encouraging them to move on to new and more challenging tasks. A home jungle gym or play set is a perfect opportunity to help your child develop these motor skills in the safest environment there is – their own home. Our easy to assemble play sets and climbers encourage creative play because of their flexibility. Your child can have more choices about what their play set will look like, even if (or especially if) they want to change it every day! All play sets come with complete step-by-step instructions. We offer great prices on our play structures and climbing toys because we haven’t the overhead associated with a brick and mortar store and thus pass our savings on to you, our customers. Your complete satisfaction is guaranteed. All materials are non-toxic, easy to clean, and made of soft thermoplastics with no screws or bolts exposed that might cause injuries. As your child grows the way they play changes along with them. As an infant their way of playing may have been to shake or throw something. Now they are developing better control over fingers and hands becoming aware of the function of objects. At about 3 years of age, the concept of pretend play comes out. Toys that encourage this developmental stage create a sense of satisfaction for them and encourage the toddler to move on to more challenging tasks like putting things together. While helping them to build up new skills, also be sure to provide lots of opportunities to be active while learning and exploring in safe surroundings. Using a play set or jungle gym like the StarterII gives your toddler the chance to have more say in how his or her play set is constructed and even to help build it! It provides a safe play environment in your backyard, basement or even bedrooms. This kit can be assembled into many arrangements to suit whatever size space is available indoors or outdoors. It’s easy for parents to supervise play. We’re proud to offer these high quality construction play sets for your toddler at a discounted price and have a terrific selection. Every DIY play set comes with complete step-by-step instructions so anyone with basic handyman skills can put them together. See us at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Its summer and that means time for fun in the sun and the swimming pool. Swimming pool toys and play sets can give children a great start in learning. Babies and toddlers love the pool and the concerns of parents when teaching their child to swim should include creating an environment of joy and acceptance when the toddler is taught in a gentle and gradual way. Researchers have documented that the effect of infant/toddler swimming lessons has the potential to increase intelligence, concentration, alertness and perception. Improvement in social, emotional and physical development has also been shown. Safety skills are a primary reason to start swimming lessons. Using a platform or bench area in the pool can greatly increase your child’s feelings of confidence and security in the pool. It can make the large area of water seem smaller and more controllable to a toddler – it becomes their own space and safety zone. We offer some terrific water benches and platforms to encourage kids to spread their (water)wings and have a goal that makes lessons more fun. Parents can be right by their side while they are learning. The bright colors appeal to toddlers and the soft texture of the plastic surfaces won’t hurt little feet. The application of bathtub non-skid strips on platforms helps make footing more secure. The simplest pool toys we offer are designed for water only 2-3 feet deep. There are not loose parts to become tangled in and no free-floating pieces. We offer the best learn to swim toys at the cheapest prices in many varieties to fit any size need. You can find a lot of wonderful choices at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

The sun is out, time to go outside and play.
With the high stress busy lives a lot of us lead, it is great to get out side for a little time in the sunshine and play. Research has shown a little time in the sun each day is healthy for everybody, especially kids. The sun has been shown to help with kids development. It’s a good source of Vitamin D. Kids have so much energy they need a way to release it. Having outside toys is one way for kids to burn off some of that excess energy. Kids grow fast and they need a toy that will grow with them.
At toys toys more toys we think we have a solution. We have a 2 in 1 Trike. It is a great little trike that converts into a chopper to grow along with your kids. The Trike mode is for 2 to 4 year olds and the Chopper mode is for 4 to 7 year olds. This trike is made by Radio Flyer so it is built to last for years.

In this day and age with computers, video games, and texting we no longer seem to communicate face to face with each other.

A ride-on toy that will grow with your child.
Spending money for toys that you know your child will outgrow shortly causes most of us to experience what is known as “buyer’s remorse.” Meaning, shortly after you make the purchase, you regret spending the money because you know that soon your child will gradually stop showing interest in the toy leaving you with another garage sale item or another Thrift Store donation. Garages and Thrift Stores are filled with such toys.
Now, a brand new toy that can metamorphosis and actually grow with your child as their age and needs change. The Quadra Byke, the exciting new play bike for kids ages 3-6 is so versatile – it’s three bikes in one! Quickly adapts from a four wheeler mini quad bike, to a trike, and then your tot’s first two wheel bicycle! Features highly efficient band brakes (front & rear), wide puncture proof rubber wheels for extra stability and quality construction. The unique axle system allows parents to quickly change this wheeled toy from 4 to 3 to 2 wheels. Quadrabyke ‘grows’ with the child’s development between age 3 to 6, an investment in your child’s safety, comfort and development have been carefully planned, designed and built to be both functional as well as easy to use. Toys have enhanced play value when they can be used in a variety of different ways, and allow the children to be in control of their play. Being in charge of their play means they decide what the game is and what the rules are. A playset that can change when their imagination wants something new is the best kind of play set. It will appeal to toddlers and young children at more than one age or developmental level. It’s something that can also be easily used with other kinds of toys to make more interesting and complex choices.. Our playsets do more than just provide an area to make noise and have fun, although they do that amazingly well. The play sets can help toddlers learn and develop new skills and interests and promote healthy interactions among young children. Plus it’s not a video game or TV! Outdoor play is associated with greater amounts of physical activity in children and research has shown that opportunities for whole body activity while in preschool have long lasting influence throughout childhood. Simply put, it helps make your toddler form healthy habits of exercise and physical activity while they are young so the chances that they will keep fit as an adult increase. We offer construction kits for the very young toddler as well as kids who are ready to have more input on what they want their play set can look like. You can find play sets of all sizes at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com – there’s sure to be a perfect size for your application.

Learn to Fly remote control airplane
Have you ever stare up in the sky and wonder how much fun it would be to Fly a Plane? If the answer was YES did. Well you can have fun flying a remote control airplane. At first, It will be a challenge to learn how to fly one, but with patience and practice; you can learn how to effectively control a remote control airplane. There are many types of remote control airplanes to choose from. As a Beginner, buy a cheaper airplane since, you will crash a few times as you learn how.
Books, DVDs and software on the Internet that will help you learn. They will tell you what to expect when you fly for the first time. But hands-on is the best experience. If the remote control airplane is facing directly at you, pushing left on the control stick will move the airplane to your right. Confusing? Yes at first it will be, but always be aware of which way your airplane is flying. If you lose sight of it and cannot determine which way it is facing, it might be too late. The fastest and most exciting category, gas powered remote control cars can go as fast as 50 - 60+ miles per hour. The 1/8 gas cars go 70 - 80 mph in racing competitions. Also called nitro Remote Control Car because the hobby fuel used contains nitro methane to increase speed and power. Popular are the 1/10 on-road nitro touring cars. For beginners, electric remote control cars are the best… easier to control, build, and maintain. There are even ready to run (rtr) models that sell for less than $100. But I would recommend better models such as the Redcat Racing. Great reviews have been posted in rc car forums. If you prefer playing or racing indoors or have limited space to play, there are small but fast micro and mini remote control cars. One of the hottest segment of the hobby, and companies are scrambling to produce their own mini remote control cars and trucks. For exciting dirt action, the 1/8 off-road gas remote control buggies are the fastest around an off road track. These 4×4 machines reach speeds of 40+ mph.
There are also 1/10 off-road electric remote control buggies for beginners.
There are electric RC cars too. Electric remote control carsElectric remote control cars can be used indoors and outside. Electric rc cars, trucks, helicopters which make amazing gifts for all ages. Whichever remote control car or rc truck you choose, you will not be disappointed.
Lightning Race Car 1:8th Scale RC Electric Car is a ready to run vehicle, which means you are racing within minutes of opening the box. The Lightning comes with all the batteries you need, a charger and a trigger style transmitter. The Lightning Race Car is a very detailed car and will turn everyone’s head. The Lightning Race Car 1:8th Scale RC Electric is super fast and won’t disappoint.

Studies have shown that active children develop higher self-esteem and more confidence. Little kids can learn to overcome difficult situations and simply have a better outlook on life when playing with toys that allow them to explore and discover. When toddlers pretend, they are practicing what they see in the world around them. Toys are supposed to be fun as well as being part of the toddler’s development. You can excite young children to exercise by camouflaging fitness in fun activities such as climbing and playing. It isn’t easy to encourage healthier living today even though inspiring heart-healthy habits will lessen the risk of developing grown-up type health issues at an early age. That’s not to say that play sets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com are ‘exercise equipment’, but these backyard play sets DO get children up from the couch and using their imaginations. Start toddlers and young children off on the right foot to a lifelong habit of exercise – while disguising it as play! AND all of our sets are easy to put up and take down and are made of safe, non-toxic materials with bright primary colors kids love and will last a lifetime.

Push Toys
There is nothing more important in an infant or child’s early development than supplying toys that not only offer fun but toys that also promote physical growth. As important as puzzles and building blocks are in children’s intellectual growth, wheeled push toys are equally important in physical development. Toddler’s love to ride on “things” such as stick ponies and dad or grandpa’s foot. Although my grandkids have long ago outgrown the pony and my foot rides, they still enjoy breaking out the old push toys and riding around the driveway or coasting down the slope. As mentioned, push toys are recommended for aiding in the promotion of early childhood development. Balance, physical coordination, and muscle growth are all benefits of encouraging little ones to ride these products as soon as they are able to stand.
Visit my website, make your selection, and enjoy the advantage of having your child’s next ride-on delivered right to your front door. No one likes the hassle of trying to get these products into the car. Enjoy the convenience of on-line shopping and remember as always, there’s no shipping cost to you. While you are on my website check out all the other kids ride-on toys for ages from 1yr to 12yrs old. We even have ride-on toys available for dad.

Kids Motorcycles
There are many ride-on toys available for kids but few compare in popularity to the motorcycles. Kids love to mimic what they see their heroes doing. Heroes include parents, friends, TV and so on. At this time of year, they will see motorcycles everywhere they turn. I believe, based on what I see in my own kids and grandkids, they can just imagine themselves on that motorcycle with the controls in their little hands. Filling this want in your little ones offers more than the simple pleasure of riding a motorcycle. It is shown, in various studies, that ride-on toys help the child develop hand/eye coordination, balance, and various other motor skills. For the fun of it though, whether your little person has an interest in racing bikes, motocross, dirt bikes or an offroad ATV, Battery Powered, Electric Motorcycles are available to satisfy their wants.
Check out my website to see the large variety of kids motorcycles, both in 6 volt and 12 volt systems. Several bikes, including the Kalee Custom Chopper, come with training wheels making them safe for the littlest rider.

Electric Bicycles
Electric Bicycles are sure to become more popular as fuel prices continue to increase. In fact, they may become a necessity. If you happen to misjudge the distance traveled and run out of power, not to worry, and no need to call AAA. Pedal power is there for back up in emergencies. The electric, brushless motor system is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries. Depending upon the model chosen, you can have such niceties as cruise control. For the off road enthusiast, a mountain bike is a great choice. The folding types are wonderful for those wanting to take the bike on family trips.

Christian Family Board Games
Sometimes it seems as if there aren’t enough hours in a day. Our days are filled to the brim with work, school, home work and other various activities. While studies have shown that children achieve higher test scores and better grades when they spend quality time with their parents, many parents are so busy and tired and rely on the video games or television to keep their children busy. There are many ways for children to learn and it is equally important that they are educated in their faith. Why not spend time together as a family and have fun learning about your faith at the same time?
The Champions of Faith board game is fun and educational. It comes with figures and accessories that allow a person to play the part of some of the best role models from the Bible. These role models include Moses, Noah, Joseph, Abraham and Joshua to name a few. Players face the obstacles and reap the rewards of Biblical heroes while working their way through the most spectacular places and events of the ancient world. This popular game is a must for Christian families.
The religious board games at MyPersonalBibleStore.com are grouped by age. We have games for the very youngest child up to adult which allows everyone to find an age appropriate game for a Christian family to enjoy.

Pedal Cars
Kids will always remember their first ride-on toy. Although many years have come and gone since I received my Pedal Car. I still hold fond memories of my first ride. There’s no words that can explain the look on children’s faces when they take their initial “pedal” around the drive way. Regardless of the type of vehicle that interests your little ones, there is something to please everyone. There are classic cars like the Kalee Deluxe Roadster sure to please the parent as much as the child. Complete with working headlights and a spare wheel, watch as your child rides into the past. For those with a richer taste, the TT Ferrari will fill the bill. My personal favorites include a tractor and, of all things, a fire truck.
Whatever you choose for your kids, you’ll have a good selection from which to make your choice on my website. Please visit the site and check out all the pedal cars and many other ride-on products as well. Don’t forget, free shipping on most all products.

Electric Scooters
Electric Powered Scooters and Electric Bikes have become quite popular in recent years. The primary reason is and always will be that kids, both young and not so young, have so much fun when riding them. The increase in popularity is due to several other practical reasons. First, the electric motors are economical to operate and provide an alternative means of transportation for those short but necessary errands close to home. This need is best satisfied by the small motorcycle type bikes like the popular Moped. Secondly, considered expensive in the past, technology improvements in manufacturing made it possible to mass produce the electric bikes and scooters therefore making them cheap to obtain.
For the pure fun of riding, Electric Scooters come in enough varieties to satisfy the wants of every family member from 5 yrs to 50+ yrs. Just plug them in, charge them up, and your off for hours of fun. Don’t worry about speed as the Electric Scooters will go as fast as you’ll want to go.

Ride-On Toys
There are many different types of ride-on toys available today. The basic type is the push powered. These come as cars and various types of ride-on bikes. The push powered products are suitable for toddlers up to 3yrs old. These are great for helping the little guys develop coordination and balance. Pedal powered toys are the next step up and provide your child with their 1st “motorized” vehicle. It doesn’t take them long to realize they are the motor and have complete control over the speed at which they travel. Like the push powered, the pedal products can’t be beat in helping the kids develop their muscles, coordination, and balance. The most popular of all ride-on toys are the battery powered. There’s a huge selection available in this category from cars to motorcycles to fire engines. Kids 3 years and up really appreciate the battery powered toys. These vehicles make your kids the king of the driveway and of the neighborhood. The electric ride-on toys are primarily scooters and a large variety of bicycles including some that are adult toys, suitable for touring the neighborhood, making short visits to the local convenient store and taking on vacation for those enjoyable rides in the woods and around the trails. If you like to hear the roar of the engine and smell the fumes of the burning fuel, there are gas powered scooters available for the bigger kids and adults.
Technology today has made it possible to make these and all other ride-on toys comfortable, safe, and durable. The ride-on toys of today are not single child products, they are passed on from generation to generation. Please visit my website to see all the different products available to help make the summer of 2011 very special for your family.

Forklifts For Kids
I spent 40 years in and out of every type of manufacturing plant in North America. In all those years I never ceased to be fascinated by Forklifts and their operators. Most of my readers will never have the opportunity to visit the inside of an operation requiring massive amounts of material handling. Materials of all sorts have to be delivered to the various sites throughout the plant. This is accomplished with conveyors, golf cart type trucks, overhead cranes and forklifts. The most versatile of all the handling systems is the forklift. They are capable of turning on a dime, traveling very fast, and lifting huge loads.
Now you can educate you child (or children) in the art of material handling. The Big Linde Forklift comes with features that will make your little ones, 3yrs old and up, think they are moving materials just like the real thing. This type of toy is a great aid in helping your child develop coordination and balance. This is an unusual toy that will be a big hit with your child and their friends.
Visit my website to take a look at the Forklift and many other ride-on toy products.

Spring is the time of the year when the beautiful flowers are in bloom, the birds are busy building their nests, and the molls are tearing up my yard! But, it’s also the time of year when the farmers break out the tractors and plows to set out making the soil ready for planting. As a kid, I used to love riding on the tractor with my farming uncle and watch the soil being plowed up and turned over. It was a beautiful thing to see the soil transform from the light brownish colored it had become during the winter months to the rich, dark color it became after the plow did its work. Little kids love to fantasize, as did I, about driving their own tractors and other equipment that seem so powerful as to move the earth. Well, the little guys have to wait till they wear an older person’s cloths in order to operate the big stuff. However, we can give them the next best option. That is, ride-on toys that allow them to emulate driving the big equipment.
The Porsche Diesel Junior is an affordable tractor your kids will play with till they are too big to ride it. With trailer hitches front and back they can move things around as if they were doing the real deal. Playing with these kinds of toys stimulate the mind and body and are a good distraction from the TV and video games.
Visit my website and check out the tractor and the Big John Loader along with the other pedal powered, battery powered, and electric powered products available for children 2yrs to 13 yrs old. There are even products available for the bigger kid in adults capable of carrying 200lb loads.

Toys For Adult “Kids”
I remember well my first motorized vehicle after I became a teenager. It was a gas powered bicycle. My how I loved the freedom this bike gave me. I could ride all over the town where we lived to visit friends and ride to the playground where we played basketball. My Mom loved it too because I could make those short runs to the grocery store. Believe it or not, the price of gasoline combined with the pure fun of the ride, is bringing about resurgence of the electric type Bicycles and Moped type products. You can hop on one of these fun machines and make that mile or so run to the store, bank, post office, etc. Another benefit to owning the electric version of this type product is you don’t need registration or special license.
There is a vast array of the electric bikes available today. One example is the Moped has been around for years and is practical for every use you might need it for. There are regular street type bikes with electric motors that will operate for 15 miles or so between charges. There are bikes that fold up for transportation in your vehicle to parks, camping sites, and your favorite vacation spots.
Visit my web site to check out all the different electric powered bikes available.

The 1948 Indian Motorcycle
Would you like to give your child a bit of motorcycle history? This is something your kid could brag about for decades. The good news is you can come by this 1948 nostalgic bike for somewhere between $20,000 and $30,000 dollars. Wow you say. For something that is 63yrs old? Consider this, the 1948 Indian Chief motorcycle was and remains a classic American chopper. With the trademark skirted fenders and gold trim, this bad boy was king of the road. A vintage motorcycle collector with a 1948 Indian Chief is a collector with bragging rights. The Chief, done up in black and chrome, was the prototypical mid-20th century American chopper.
Fortunately we have a less costly option for our little ones. The Kalee Indian Motorcycle was modeled after the 1948 Indian Motorcycle. The Kalee battery operated cycle comes with front and rear lights, drives forward and reverse, and has real engine sounds. If only it were big enough for dad!
Visit my website to check out the complete specifications and the very affordable price for this wonderful image of the past that your 2-4 year olds will love to ride. While on the site check out the other battery operated and electric ride-on toys. A real plus is the free shipping offered with the products on my site.

The Motorcycle
Want to help develop your child’s coordination at an early age while at the same time watch them having the time of their life? Consider battery operated vehicles. I’ve watched my own 3yr old grandkids as they began to understand what made their new ride-on vehicle go and how to make it stop short of the living room lamp. I could see the anxiety on their little face as they realized turning the wheel enabled them to go somewhere and then come back to where they started. It’s an amazing feeling when you realize that they finally begin to understand how the motion button, the steering wheel and the brakes all work in unison to allow them to control where they go, how fast they can get there, and the turns it takes to return. Battery operated vehicles are absolutely unparalleled in helping the child develop mind and body coordination.
One of my favorite vehicles is the very affordable motorcycle shown on my website. Even though the Mini Motos Red Hawk cycles come with 3 wheels, the rider still develops a sense of balance as they negotiate turns and hills. With speeds of 4-5 MPH they will feel like Evel Knievel. In addition to all the physical benefits, your child will be catapulted to a number 1 status with the other kids in the neighborhood. You may have to get a second unit as a loaner for your child’s friends.
Visit my website and check out all the battery powered toys as well as many other choices of ride-on toys.

Nothing excites a kid like hearing a siren going nearby. Of course they don’t understand that the siren generally signals some sort of problem. They just know the excitement that is caused in their little minds in seeing and hearing a big red fire engine zoom by. They see the firemen, as we all do, as super heroes. It is, however, hard for them to emulate this particular hero without actually having a fire engine. If you have kids or grandkids and you want to give them the opportunity to play fireman, you can now do so with a very reasonable investment.
There is a large variety of battery powered ride-on toys on my website but the fire truck has to be one of the most popular. If you want to give your child, boy or girl, a toy they will remember and talk about for years to come, consider the fire truck. It has all the sounds, horn, siren, and even a working PA system. When making a run the can turn on the flashers just like the real trucks do. This is a toy that is guaranteed to be a big hit with your little guys.
Visit my website and check out the specifications on the
fire truck and all the other battery powered ride-on toys available. And as always, free shipping is included with your order.

Scattergories: Bible Edition
The original Scattergories game was first published in 1988. It was a creative thinking category based party game. The game’s objective was for the players to score points by naming objects within a set of categories, given an initial letter, within a set time limit. The game could be played by 2 players to 6 players.
The objective of Scattergories: Bible Edition is to match as many Bible categories before time runs out. You roll the letter die to determine the key letter for the round.
Let’s say you roll a “C”. Now start the timer!
How quickly can you think of a “Place Christ walked”?
“Canaan!”
Things that separate us from each other?
“Carelessness!”
If you can’t think of any answers that start with the letter “C”, just write down any answer that fits the category and if no one has the same answer, you still can score points. This game is entertaining, enhances faith and promotes learning. The Catholic Edition of this fun game contains 48 Additional Catholic Categories.

Have you ever seen an unhappy kid in, what we use to call, a go kart. The answer is obviously, no. Back in the day we would make our own karts with a flat board and a couple of axles with wheels from wherever we could find them. Usually from the junk yard or an old wagon no longer usable. It wasn’t easy to build one but if you did, and it moved freely, you owned a prized possession. If you could add steering, well, you felt like an Indy Car Driver. Of course these were manually operated, so to speak, as you needed someone to push you. We did maneuver some shallow grades or slight hills but with only your feet to stop the thing, you didn’t want to go down too steep of a hill. The point is, these sorts of toys are able to keep kids occupied, and active, for hours at a time.
Sometime, in the process of growing up, they came out with motorized karts. I was never fortunate enough to own one or even know anyone who had one. But, that was then and this is now. Kids today have the opportunity to own power karts without spending a lot of money. The most popular karts today are the electric versions. They run very quiet and you don’t have to hassle with gasoline. The load capacity and distance between charges make the electric power kart a very popular choice. Of course if you prefer the roar of the gas engines those are also available on my website at http://www.kidsbigtoys.com. Please take a moment to visit the site and view all the wonderful products available to make any kid smile.

Pretty In Pink
A few weeks ago I took my 5yr old granddaughter to her first piano lesson. To open dialog with her, the instructor asked her the typical questions you would ask a girl child including her age, favorite doll, brothers and sisters, and so on. Mrs. April, her teacher, already knew the answers to these questions but she knows how to warm up to a little child. The answer my baby girl gave to the question of her favorite color could be expected from 90% of little girls. PINK. They like pink dresses, pink hair bows, pink shoes, and pink toys. Why not satisfy their pink cravings with a toy they will love till they are too big to use it.
I’m speaking of a Injusa Scooter Duo 6v Pink. These kids electric scooter style motorcycles are all the rage. With Spring and Summer just around the corner, one of these affordable ride-on toys is sure to be a big hit with your kids. In addition to extreme fun, riding battery operated vehicles will help develop your child’s coordination at an early age.
Visit my website to examine the specifications for the Injusa Scooter. You will also find a complete range of ride on toys including push type, pedal type, and electric powered. All powered products come with free chargers. Free shipping on most products.

In coming months play time for kids will shift from inside activities to outside fun. The kids will need to pull out the items for play that couldn’t be used inside. In the likely event they need a new toy to be the central theme of their outside play time why not consider a major “fun” product for an affordable investment.
At http://www.kidsbigtoys.com you will find a large selection of battery powered ride-on toys that will provide hours and days of fun for kids 3yrs to 12yrs old. A very special item sure to satisfy your children’s fun-time requirements is the Injusa Big Wheels Go-Kart 12v. There are many other selections available. The battery powered products all include free chargers and, as always, free shipping is included on most items listed.

Picking out a playset for your young children can seem like a monumental task. You know that a quality backyard or front yard playset is safer because it can offer more protection for your children as they are playing right in their own yard. Ideally the playset should be designed especially for your toddler or younger child’s age group – a place for age appropriate play without conflict from older kids. As always, before you make that major purchase there are a lot of qualities and conditions that should be met.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has counted more than 200,000 playground equipment related injuries annually. Therefore, the playset you choose should meet criteria such as: hand rails, guard rails and slides should have smooth or rounded edges. There should be no exposed screws or bolts that can cause injuries. Materials like soft rubber and plastic are both more durable than wood and typically require less maintenance. If there is a slide, it should have a platform seat at the top to encourage children to sit down and slide down feet first. For preschool children the slide should be no more than six feet high.
A well made playset, sturdy and durable, can provide years of safe physical activity. Remember that your total cost of ownership will often be less when you spend more initially. Quality, strength and durability typically justify your initial investment. An inexpensive playset, less sturdily built, may well increase the risk of injuries. A playset made of wood normally needs yearly maintenance to prevent the wood from drying out. Wood will also require repainting to keep its colors vivid and appealing to children. Your investment in a higher quality jungle gym playset makes sense. Your child’s safety is always your first concern. The cost of ensuring their safety is worth every penny.
At http://www.safetyswimandlay.com, we are proud to offer strong and safe playsets specifically designed for children under age 5 (up to about 60 pounds). These playsets are easy to assemble and disassemble to be able to change the configuration easily. You will find no exposed screws or bolts that can scratch or cause other injuries. Our colors are bright, non-fade, non-toxic primary colors that children like. Each play structure is shipped with detailed step by step and level by level instructions that anyone with basic handyman skills can accomplish. Every playset is made of polyresin plastic with no sharp points or edges, no protruding nuts, bolts or screws, no wood to splinter, no toxic chemicals and no parts which can rust, rot or corrode. The colors last a lifetime without fading from sun or weather. Every product we offer is ADA approved insuring safety for every child no matter what their physical abilities.

ATV For Ages 3yrs to 6yrs Old
Many grown kids were involved in the ATV craze when they were younger. Depending upon their age, many still like to hit the trails with these powerful machines. It’s a rush that kids from early teens to adults’, way up in years, still enjoy.
Now shift focus onto our little guys and girls 6 yrs old and younger. What rush do they enjoy once the ™Barbie Dolls and ™GI Joes hit the toy box for more exciting activities? Well, we have the children’s versions of the electronic games. However, we have to limit the time kids spend with these or run the risk of them becoming too sedentary. I also like the remote control toys that they can chase up and down the driveway or street if you happen to live on a cul-de-sac. I really appreciate the ride on push toys as these help very young children develop motor skills, balance, and muscle strength. One very popular activity, in my day, was having the kids chase after dad or big brother as we ran down the street trying to launch a kite. Once up in the air you would hand the controls over to them so they could experience the pull of the wind on the kite. How about roller skates? I, for one, never got it! I spent more time setting on my rear and crying than I did on my skates. My kids and grandkids, well that’s a different story. They could, and still can, even into middle age, fly around the rink. I love to watch but I don’t try anymore. What about this, a Pogo Stick? I have to admit I never had one and they might be a bit dangerous for the little bodies. Trampolines are a great choice if you have a big enough yard. Make sure the trampoline is fenced in however so your kids don’t wind up in the neighbor’s yard. There are endless possibilities we can provide to our kids that keep them happy and active. As parents and grandparents we have a responsibility to provide more than just food and shelter to our adolescents.
My favorite, of all activities for our very young ones,is ride on toys. These include a very affordable, Battery Powered ATV. That’s right, an ATV for 3yrs old to 6yrs old. Now that is a rush these small ones will never forget. Visit my website to check out the ATV, and a complete selection of other ride-on toys, and benefit from free shipping on the ATV and on most other products as well.

Remember Scooters?
Back in the day scooters were an interesting means of transportation. You wore one leg out giving the other leg, and the rest of your body, a ride. Unless of course you were on a downward slope. Even then you had to come back up the hill. Fortunately for scooter lovers things have changed significantly.
There are scooters available today that will not only allow you to go down the hill, but will also enable you to come back up the hill without pushing. Technology has enabled manufacturers to produce scooter products that incorporate battery powered motors. These scooters carry the rider around the neighborhood effortlessly. Picture your little one the envy of all his friends as he rides around on a power scooter.

What’s A Grandparent Anyway?
We all know what a parent is. We know their primary function relative to their family. But what about a grandparent and why are they called “grand”?
Way back in my memory I recall being a parent. With three kids, and only a couple years between their ages, we had our hands full at meal time or when preparing for church or getting them ready for preschool and school. No matter the highs or lows, these kids were, and still are, as the Bible says, the apples of our eyes. And they knew how special they were to my wife and me. All kids, including ours however, have another love addiction. GRANDPARENTS! I don’t know who coined the term grand-parent. Some of the synonyms for grand are: impressive, majestic, magnificent, splendid, etc. I’ll assure you that your little ones, if they could express themselves verbally, would use every one of these terms to describe their grandparents. How about it grandpa? How about it grandma? What have you done to deserve this pedestal position? The fact is you don’t have to do much. It’s what you don’t do that makes the difference. Unlike with dad and mom, these little girls and guys know how much farther they can “push the envelope” without suffering unpleasant consequences. They also know they can crawl up into grandma’s soft and safe lap and she’ll make all cares and fears disappear. There is a special bond or love that grandparents have with their kid’s kids. My prayer for each and every grandparent (and parent) reading this is you can see through the complexities of our modern world and continue to give our little ones the love that only we can give.
Please visit my website to find those special gifts for your grand-kids or kids. These include battery powered toys and scooters at an affordable price with free shipping on most items.

Good Cop, Good Cop
Back In the day a popular game for kids was Cowboys & Indians. I remember well running through the neighborhood holding our hands in the shape of a gun and firing at the other kids. Cowboy or Indian, it didn’t matter which you were so as long as you dropped dead when the other guy shot you.
You were really something if you had a “real” toy gun. If it fired caps, and you could afford to buy them, you automatically became the Chief or the top Cowhand. If someone heard that cap go off, it was more realistic than a voice yelling “bang, bang” your dead. Of course the ultimate crime fighter was the guy with the 2 gun and holster combination which automatically meant you could play the Lone Ranger and appoint your own trusted Indian companion, Tonto, to ride with you for the cause of justice and peace in the Old West.
Today, our little guys want to mimic the cops they see on TV. Even little girls want in on the act since most of the modern cop TV shows have a rough and tough lady cop to work hand in hand with her male counterpart. A difference between the old days and now is the equipment the little law officers need to carry out their mission of getting the bad guys. Sure they have realistic guns but they aren’t satisfied riding a make believe horse.
A ride-on car which mimics the detective’s car is the ticket. Add to the car a
custom-designed flashing toy siren and they instantly become “CSI–Local Neighborhood.” The toy cars are very affordable. The siren accessory is a very inexpensive add-on and can be used with any vehicle. Make your child very happy and put these items on their wish list for that next special day in their lives. Angel Wars Board Game
The Bible can be hard to understand even for the most sophisticated scholar. Religious Board games help to make the Bible more interesting and easy to comprehend for game players of all ages. In addition, board games also provide good lessons in spirituality.
Angel Wars is a strategy board game that is simple to learn, but also very strategic and fascinating to players of all levels. The game uses the art and characters from the popular animated Angel Wars series. It is similar to checkers or chess in that the game begins with the game tiles set up in a checkerboard design. The game is for 2 players. One player controls 6 guardian angels and the other player controls 6 messenger angels. Players take turns in moving their game pieces and do so until a player has succeeded in moving all of his or her pieces to the opposite side of the board. The game becomes strategic because the players have to follow some rules such as only being able to move the game pieces on the tiles that are the same color as their game pieces. Each player must clear a path for their pieces while trying to block their opponent’s pieces at the same time.
This game offers two levels of play and up to four people can play at a time. Angel Wars is sure to delight anyone who loves to play board games and is geared for children starting at age 7 up to adult age. This age span makes Angel Wars a good family game.
Please visit us at My Personal Bible Store and take a look at all of the religious board games that we offer.

Smile Machines
Have you ever had the thrill of watching your little one’s face the first time they pushed the go button on a battery powered toy? There they are creating motion just like mom and dad.
I remember well the look on my grandsons face back some 20 years now. As a three year old, here he was driving a car of his own. That picture of his little face is worth more than I can say and I’m glad we preserved it on film to look at when we need a pick-me-up. How about my granddaughter when we got her to set, for the first time, on her powered ride-on and we finally coxed her to push the button on the little three wheeler. It scared her at first but when she realized she could move at the push of a button, we like to never got her off it. I’m glad the tree wheeler was rugged because it took her longer to learn how to steer than it did to push the button. I actually think she assumed she was supposed to run into things. Thank God for those precious memories. The joy of providing this type of toy for our kids is light years ahead of the soon forgotten guns or toy typewriters that just never seem to work well. I speak from experience because I’ve had these toys and I’ve been able to witness my own kids and grand-kids destroy them in a matter of days. Think about providing the little ones in your life with the” thrill of the ride.”
There is a variety of powered ride-on cars and scooters available on my website. For much smaller children, the site will also make available pedal powered and push type vehicles. Please visit the site and make a decision to see if you can catch some smiley faces that you’ll cherish forever.

Let Play Time Commence
I remember as a child how we loved a good summer’s rain. We lived in the city and had to create our own entertainment. A good, hard summer’s rain meant it was play time. We would put on shorts, take off our shoes and go out in the street and play in the rain. One of our favorite things to do was to put small sticks in the side walk gutters and chase then down the street hoping our particular stick would win the race before they all disappeared into the run-off drain.
Today it’s different for our kids. They never had the joy of making a self propelled object out of an empty thread spool, a tooth pick, and a rubber band and chasing it around the house as it flipped and rolled in different directions. I can see some of my readers smile. You know what I’m talking about. Today’s kids run the risk of developing a sedentary life style. They don’t chase sticks down the gutter or run around the school playground trying to launch a kite on a windless day, or work for hours and days on developing the skill to do loop-to-loops with a Duncan Yo-yo. Instead, they watch TV and play the electronic games. One of the things we can do as parents is providing alternatives to the sedentary activities. My recommendation is to start the kids out right when they are just beginning to stand up and walk. Ride on push toys are wonderful products to get those little muscles and minds working. There is a large variety of child safe toys of this type available.
Visit my website for the specifications and product availability for the push-powered toys. While you are there, look at the other products available including battery powered toys cars and powered scooters. No need to face the hassle of mall shopping. The Sand Box
With spring just around the corner, let me be the first to welcome you to summer. Finding summer activities for the toddlers is not easy. The lawn sprinkler is always a favorite. Ride-on toys in the driveway also works well. But, how about a trip to the beach?
If you’re like my family who all live in the Midwest the nearest beach is a 12 hour drive. But you can’t beat watching those little guys fill their bucket with sand and then turn it over to build a perfect sand bucket shape. Or take the little figurine molds and make different animal shapes. Or even taking their toy shovel and dragging it around in the sand to make unidentifiable shapes. If you’re lucky a once-a-year vacation is about as much beach as your kids will see all year. And even then, you may prefer a trip to Gatlinburg or some other resort far from any beach. But you know what? You can bring a little beach right into your back yard. Sand boxes used to be a favorite for the little ones down in the country where I came from. Of course the box itself was homemade and leaked sand out so we were constantly adding more back in.
You can purchase a really nice sand box made of high quality, weather proof plastic with comfortable seats and a cover for a very affordable price. Visit my website and check out the Big Sandy Sand Box with cover. While there check out the battery powered toys and other merchandise made exclusively for kids. http://www.kidsbigtoys.com

I often think that this is a kind of crazy world to grow up in, what with all the various forms of media SELF-entertainment that are available for placating our kids and grandkids. My husband and I have made it a practice to offer ourselves as partners in card games and board games as a way of entertaining our kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews — a way to get to KNOW them a little more while at the same time having fun as a family unit.
Here is a great product idea that recently came to my attention: a set of ordinary playing cards that feature four complete sets of scripture verses geared to thirteen different Christian virtues! Take out your PURE VIRTUE playing cards the next time you enter into a game of crazy eights, cribbage, gin rummy, hearts, or bridge with beloved young guests! Your young relatives will end up absorbing valuable information about the things in life that matter most, without your having to say a single explicit word on the subject.

Christian Family Games
My family always bonded while playing board games. While my two children are now in their twenties and are avid video game players, they both agree that there is nothing more fun than playing a good old fashioned and competitive family game of Monopoly.
We offer a variety of religious based board games for many different age groups. These Bible based, family friendly board games can provide hours of challenging fun play. The game, Bibleopoly, is a very unique fame that is similar to my family favorite, Monopoly. The only difference is the basic religious concept which does not allow an opponent to win by destroying their opponents. Instead, they must assist their opponents. The game’s objective is for a player to become the first one to build a church in one of the cities that is referenced in the Bible.
We feel that it is very important for a child’s well being to spend time devoted to family fun. The games at http://www.MyPersonalBibleStore.com help you teach your children important Christian values while allowing everyone in the family to relax and have fun.

One of the most common challenges parents face with young children is teaching him/her the concept of sharing. For most kids, not wanting to share comes very natural. Parents don’t have to teach them this. Perhaps one of many reasons for not sharing is the item itself.
Items like ™Barbie Dolls, plastic soldiers, make-up kits, toy guns, and so on lend themselves to being very personal simply because of their size and the fact that, in many cases, these were the first toys the child remembers receiving. Similarly, in the case of little girls, dress up clothes of their very own (not mom’s) were not to be shared. The exception is the case where you have two sisters or good friends. They might share, or exchange, their outfits during play-time so long as they don’t see one to be more glamorous or “grown-up” than the other. With this and some other possible exceptions, the screams of “mine, get off, give it back, it’s my turn, or mom – make her/her give it to me” ring throughout the house or yard during play-time especially when neighbor’s kids are over. In my case, I’ve seen my grandkids more willing to share bigger toys, knowing their turn comes after a few minutes. Ride-on toys like the ride on push toys allows 2 kids to play. One rides while the other pushes then they switch places. My website, http://www.kidsbigtoys.com features a large variety of the bigger, ride on toys at prices to fit most budgets. Take the “scream” out of the kids and the hassle out of mall shopping by visiting my site and taking a look at all the possibilities. I offer free shipping on most products.

Choosing a play set for your child can be a challenging project. Many things must be taken into consideration starting with the simplest features such as what it’s made of. Playsets made of wood will probably need yearly maintenance to prevent the wood from drying out. Wood also will require repainting to keep its colors vivid and appealing to children. The fasteners used to assemble the playset should be safe for use around children with no exposed screws or bolts that could cause injury. You will want your playset to be easy to assemble with basic tools. The playsets offered at http://www.safetswimandplay.com are designed for relatively simple DIY assembly. Each commercial and residential play structure is shipped with detailed step by step and level by level instructions that anyone with basic handyman skills can accomplish. Every playset is made of polyresin plastic with no sharp points or edges, no protruding nuts, bolts or screws, no wood to splinter, no toxic chemicals and no parts which can rust, rot or corrode. You can select from a wide variety of playsets to fit into any space you have available, indoors or outdoors.

Toys Will Be Toys
Here are some interesting statistics to ponder. NPD, a major Market Research Company, reported that toy sales in the United States reached 21.47 Billion Dollars in 2009. The U.S. Census Bureau reported the population at 300 million men, women, and children. It is estimated that 70 million of the total population are 12 yrs and younger. If you do the math, you’ll discover that over $300 dollars, on average, is spent on toys for each child. What is all this money spent on?
How about the Flashbeat Drum for the little one under 1yr old? It plays as it is rolled or touched on the drum pad or sound buttons. Then there are the sliding bead toys, and the soft, safe stacking toys. On and on the lists go. Add a few months to the child’s age and you can go with the shape sorting toys, the geometric stacker toys, or even some simple builder toys as long as the builder pieces are larger than baby’s “mouth size.” Consider farm sounding blocks that, when put together with the appropriate animal halves, produce realistic animal sounds - a horse, cow, dog, sheep, and pig. The soft bowling toys/games are popular with the majority of kids. Specific to the little girls are things like little purses filled with make believe items that emulate mom’s purse. Baby dolls with baby doll clothes or the character phones with recording functions also excite baby girl.
The toy list is endless as it must be to account for over 21 billion dollars in sales. Toy companies spend millions of dollars in research to determine which toy types to develop and manufacture for the various age groups. As parents we can’t afford to spend millions to make sure we get the right child the right toy that is safe, affordable, and will hold their attention for more than 30 seconds. We’ve all heard of social networking. If you have internet access, the best way to research is to contact others for recommendations on specific toys. It’s always a good idea to use search engines to look for the right item for your children. The bottom line to all this is being sure to know what you are spending your $300 per child on. Will it be discarded after several months or possibly become a legacy toy?
One of the toy types most cherished by kids that can last for generations is the ride on toys. Unlike the set-down and play toys, ride on products promote more physical activity, balance, hand-eye coordination, and maneuverability skills. The toy cars give the kids the opportunity to imitate mom and dad driving the family car. For top quality, affordable ride-on toys such as ride on push toys, battery powered toys, or even gas powered toys, visit http://www.kidsbigtoys.com.

Happy Feet/Happy Kids
The blockbuster animation film “Happy Feet” is an entertaining story about a little penguin born with a very unique difference or more appropriately, a unique skill. This skill was never seen among the penguins before. Different skills or talents in children are not unique but are in fact, the norm. A society progresses because of the differences between children and between adults. It is a primary responsibility of parents to nurture the unique characteristics of their children.
Mumble, the baby penguin, could tap dance. Although his father and mother discouraged Mumble from displaying his talent, in the end it was his tap dancing that preserved the fishing waters and assured the very survival of the penguins. Throughout human history there have been individuals with unique skills that had a dramatic impact on the very existence of man. For example, Albert Sabin perfected the oral vaccine that broke the chain of transmission of the polio virus and made possible the world wide eradication of polio. There is within each of our children a unique skill. As parents we can provide the proper environment, food, education, and social development to allow the person within our children to come out. Happiness and social acceptance are ingredients that have a major impact on our children’s development.
The initial physical growth or development of children is impacted by the types of activities they participate in. This author, a father of 3 and a grandfather of 13 has seen what different physical activities can do for a child’s physical and mental development. All my grandkids had access to ride on push toys and battery powered toys. The child’s balance, and hand, eye coordination are greatly enhanced. Socially, they can either fit in or become the envy of the other kids. Please visit my http://www.kidsbigtoys.com to view the different items that you can use to help bring out the “happy feet” in your children.

TOYS FOR THE AGES (3yrs to 12yrs)
Kid’s ride-on toys have been around for over a century. It’s incredible that they not only survived the children’s entertainment evolution but they are more popular than ever. This is easy to understand given the variety of kids ride-on toys available today.
In addition to hours of amusement, ride-on toys offer many health benefits. As cited by the Children’s Health System, Nemours, 1 in 3 children, 12 yrs and under is overweight. These children are candidates for obesity, diabetes, social disappointments, and so on. I will address the complete subject of children’s health and sedentary life style in future articles. These types of toys are natural exercise equipment. Consider the muscles used in climbing on and off, opening and closing doors, pushing the toy ahead, stimulating balance, and so on. As parents and grandparents, we are responsible for the health of our kids. Ride-on Toys are a fun, practical encouragement to maintaining a young, healthy lifestyle.
The most basic classification of ride on toys is the push-powered group. Even the smallest toddler can entertain him/herself with these toys. From grocery carts to race cars these toys are safe and suitable for kids 1yr old and up.
A very popular ride on toy for a number of years is the
scooter. Today’s scooter, in keeping up with affordable technology, is available in both electric-powered and gas-powered. The electric version of scooters can travel at speeds up to 22mph and carry loads up to 265 lbs. WOW, that’s a big kid! The gas-powered scooter can carry the same load at speeds up to 35mph.
Battery-Powered ride-on toys are probably the most sought after and wished for by the children 3yrs and older. The toys available in this class are unlimited including everything from Battery-Powered Race Cars to the Mercedes SL. A concern of parents with the Battery-Powered Toys is the battery life and cost of battery replacement. Suffice it to say that if recommended maintenance is observed, today’s batteries will last well past batteries in the older technology ride-on toys. A future article will cover care and maintenance of both vehicle and battery.
As you consider what to get for that special child on their special day, evaluate the affects the special prize will have on them. Also think about the long term usability of your gift and consider initial investment versus the years of enjoyment your child will experience. I believe you will conclude that ride-on toys are right for your family’s kids. Visit http://www.kidsbigtoys.com to review complete product specifications and have your questions answered.

Battery Concerns For Ride On Toys
One of the major concerns for parents when considering purchasing a Power Ride-On Toy for their children is the battery. Concerns include
battery life, recharging procedures, danger from handling, replacement cost, and availability. In this article we will address these concerns.
Surprisingly, the life span of a power toy’s battery is a function of how often it is used. The less it is used, the shorter the life. There is a definite correlation between the actual age of a battery and the amount of time it is used. Bottom line, use it! Thinking that limiting the amount of time your child plays with the ride-on will extend the battery life produces the opposite effect and will in fact reduce the battery’s life span. A critical adjunct to the “use it or lose it” concept is the charging procedure.
These batteries are the same type as used in automobiles. In regular cars the battery is constantly being charged while the car is running. This isn’t the case in a toy ride-on. These batteries must be charged often. Do not allow the ride-on battery to completely discharge! Like the car battery, the toy battery does not have the infamous “memory set.” The memory type battery’s life is shortened by recharging without running it down. It will develop a memory set and will operate for a much shorter time than expected if charged too frequently without running it down. This is not true with the toy battery. It should be charged every time it is used if only used for a short time. When not in use (winter months in the North) for extended periods, the battery should be charged every 3-4 weeks. With proper care, your, the battery should last 2-3 years. Make sure to follow the recommendations from the manufacturer of the battery.
Your ride-on will come with a battery charger. Use it! I mentioned earlier the similarities between the toy battery and a regular car battery. This pertains only to charging procedures. DO NOT TRY TO CHARGE THE TOY BATTERY WITH A REGULAR BATTERY CHARGER. Again I say refer to the manufacturer’s recommendations for charging. If your child’s battery charger becomes damaged or fails to charge the battery, replacements are available at a very modest price. Replacement batteries will cost somewhere around $40. If this seems expensive remember, with proper care, the battery will last 2-3 years which is about 25-40 cents per week. Batteries and chargers are readily available from many sources including http://www.kidsbigtoys.com.
Safety concerns are unfounded as long as the manufacturer’s charging procedures are followed. The batteries are sealed and as such are referred to as Rechargeable Batteries. Just make sure if you remove the battery from your child’s ride-on toy so that you don’t drop it on your foot. That will hurt.
Please visit my web site for a complete line of ride-on toys both powered and manual. You will find accessories here also. 513-675-3632

One of the big issues these days on TV shows and radio talk programs is America’s growing obesity epidemic. It’s also the time of year for those resolutions to get fit and exercise more – a smart plan which should include everyone in the family. All you have to do is look around you at any public gathering to see the truth of the facts that NO ONE is getting enough exercise!. We’re encouraging a lifestyle that enables us to sit around all the time – at our desks, in front of the TV or computer or play stations. Our kids are not as active as we might think they are. Most of their day is spent sitting down – story time, drawing class or studying at school burn very few calories. Every child – including one and two year olds – needs to have at least 60 minutes of active play every day. When we start toddlers and young children off in the right direction by encouraging them to form a lifelong habit of exercise they benefit in so many ways. A simple play set can offer lots of benefits in one space. Aerobic activity is increased in running and climbing, developing coordination and social interaction. Our playsets also offer easy visibility to supervise children’s activities and parents can be sure the play structure is a safe environment. Once children begin to regularly add fitness activities into their daily lives, they are more likely to reduce the risks of obesity or diabetes. A playset designed to offer your toddler their own special place to play and climb and be active makes getting more exercise fun. We offer playsets for young children at the best discount prices available. See the many choices at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

KidsHealth Website from Nemours estimates 1 in 3 of our pre-teens is overweight or even obese. This statistic is growing at an alarming rate. There is no easy answer or fix to this problem. As parents we can take certain actions to minimize the possibility of our kids becoming one of these statistics. Being overweight at any age greatly increases the chance for developing diabetes, heart disease, and other cardiovascular disorders.
Food choices we make for our kids will certainly have a major impact on our kids health. We also need to be aware of the amount of time our young ones spend on the video games. When considering what to purchase for those special days in our kid’s lives look for items that encourage activity. Ride-on toys are an excellent choice for ages 3 to 12. Visit http://www.kidsbigtoys.com to view the choices available.

Aggravation Board Games, Great Healthy Family fun and Interaction!
Aggravation board games are excellent choice of recreational game. And is definitely one of the most popular classic board games that have wowed families from different walks of life for over four decades. It has practically evolved with time. This game is played by 2 to 6 gamers. It is an excellent game to be played in a family. This is one classical game that has been enjoyed by families all these years. You will be able to understand about the wooden board game very easily.
Player who will end the game at first with the marble to reach the home section will win. If you reach another player’s position, then you can make the opponent’s marble to go back to its initial home position. You have to play this aggravation marble game with a dice. It may also depend how many players are playing?
At first, the gamers have to decide what color marbles they will choose? Blue, red, white, orange and green or may be yellow can selected. Players need to choose at least 4 marbles. Now choose the same color side of the board and begin.
This aggravation board game should be played clockwise or anti clockwise. The gamers will decide who will start the game. Now, while playing a dice, gamers have two choices. A player can start his or her journey on the board by getting a number of six or one on the dice. Once any player comes out of the home position, he or she can continue the journey by rolling the dice. The moves should be properly counted. You can jump over your opponent’s marbles but not yours. Thus, the game goes on and on. These wooden board games are tricky.
Despite the proliferation of computer games and PSP’s, aggravation game board still has its ample followers. They cannot simply trade the entertainment provided by this board game to that of the now becoming popular technologically advanced gadgets. Many families especially in the United States and some parts of Europe still stick to the fun that this game provides them.
Many household are now sporting this kind of game in their patio. Most of them are using it both for decorative purposes and as entertainment stuff for visiting relatives and friends to enjoy. There is nothing that bugs me more than seeing an overweight toddler. This country is suffering an eppidemic of obesity and our children are losing the battle. Many people are working with schools and fast food restaurants to make healthier choices available. We also need to see to it that our kids learn to have a healthier, more active lifestyle from the time they are little kids. Why wait until bad eating habits have become set in stone or lack of exercise is habitual? Children learn while playing and what they learn best is what they see adults do. Showing them that we care about our health and fitness is the obvious answer, but providing them tools to become more active and fit while they are having FUN is essential also. A playset in their own backyard or in the basement is a very good way to help them have a lifestyle that includes lots of exercise and develop good habits while they are young. When your kids are sliding down the slide and then running back to the top to start again, do they realize the aerobic activity is good for them? Of course not, but we parents do! Let’s get them moving before we have a whole generation of tubbies who can’t wobble uphill!

It’s tougher to raise kids today than it was even 10 years ago. Parents now are concerned about diet and exercise as well as kids’ safety and development. There are many articles in the news and on TV telling us about the childhood obesity epidemic. Most cases of obesity are simply caused by poor diet and not enough exercise. Kids are facing the early onset of adult type diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure and cholesterol! The concern is growing because we’ve created a lifestyle which encourages all of us to sit – in front of the TV, in front of the computer, in front of the Play Station. Every child – even toddlers – need to get at least 60 minutes of active play every day. One of the best things we can do for our kids to help them develop a healthy lifestyle is give them the tools to help them get more exercise. When your kids start out early with our playsets a fitter child is almost a side effect of playing, having fun and using their imaginations These playsets can ‘grow’ with your child as you start out small and add-on to the playset as the kids grow. There are so many options: from one simple playset – up/down, slides, drop-holes, hiding places and more. The design of our playsets offers plenty of visibility so parents can supervise activity and make sure kids are safe. Of course we’re not saying that playsets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com are ‘exercise equipment’ like a Bowflex, but these backyard playsets DO get children up from the couch and using their imaginations instead of pushing buttons. Starting toddlers and young children off on the right foot to a lifelong habit of exercise – while disguising it as play! Try one our playsets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Wooden Toys, the evolution!
Woodworking is anything that involves working with wood in any way, whether it is carving, painting, sawing, or anything else. It has been done as long as man has been on the face of the earth. The first man did make weapons out of wood, so this involved carving. Early man also made crude statues from wood that were to help the tribe win the favor of the animals that they were going to hunt; and later to please the gods which they believed in.
Wooden toys have been objects for children’s recreation since very earliest times. Archeological excavations and discoveries have located different types of wooden dolls from as early as 1100 BC. Ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Romans made miniature versions of all the things they were using in wood. These were obviously play things for their children.
Production of wooden toys for sale started as early as the 1500’s in Germany. German artisans started selling their toys across Europe.
Educational wooden toys, like wooden alphabet blocks, appeared during the 1700’s in England. By the 1800’s, humble wooden toys became more elaborate and intricate.
The 1900’s saw a huge growth in the American toy industry. With the invention Tinker Toys in 1914, Lincoln Logs in 1916. With many different toy sets of spools, rods, spokes, and sticks; Children could build using their own imagination their own paradises of people, animals, vehicles, buildings and towns using these wooden accessories.
Today you can let your imagination run wild with the large variety of wooden toys that are available for your children. The toys can either be given as a gift, or sold, but it can be seen as a craft that pleases the maker and then more pleasure can be had from watching the enjoyment, which the child that receives the toy can experience.
There are other benefits of wooden toys. Toys can be of many sizes. They can be as small as a toy wooden soldier or as large as a toy wagon or playhouse. They can fire a child’s imagination.
Many child development centers have found that simple wooden toys are preferable to the fancy technological type toys. They have found that children can take something as simple as a toy car or a set of blocks and take it where their imagination leads. The technologically sophisticated toys are very directional and tend to leave less to the imagination of the child.
Wooden toys are more sanitary than plastic or metal toys. A wooden toy in the same room as a plastic or metal toy will have fewer germs on its surface than a plastic or metal car. It seems that wood seems to contain some naturally antibiotic characteristics. Wooden toys are more ecologically friendly. Over time wood will break down and deteriorate. It is not known how long the plastics and metals we use today will linger in our landfills.
Come visit us at Amish Furniture Crafts and see are nice selection of very high qualitywooden toys handmade by the Amish.

It’s scary when you read that kids today get less than 15 minutes of vigorous exercise a day, drinks more than 20 ounces of soda pop a day, and spends more than 20% of her or his waking time watching television. No wonder our kids are less fit and more fat than children from the 1960s. Children are also getting the added privilege of developing adult diseases such as diabetes and high cholesterol sooner. One of the best things we can do for our kids to help them develop a healthy lifestyle by giving them tools that will help them get more exercise. When your kids start out early with our playsets a fitter child is almost a side effect of playing, having fun and using their imaginations as well! These playsets can ‘grow’ with your child as you start small and add-on to the play set as the kids get bigger. Parents want an affordable play system that gives good value for their money. Easy expansion of the playset means longer life and extended value. The best value or bang for your buck lies in the toy or playset that your child likes the most and will enjoy for the longest time. Play sets with Slides will delight children with many options for use in the yard or in the pool while also delighting parents with the affordable and smart purchase they have made. http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

Teach your kids to only take one step at a time on the ladder and to hold the hand rail at all times. Always be sure they slide down feet first and sitting up and make sure the landing area at the bottom of the slide is clear
Our Playsets with slides can not only be used in your swimming pool but also work as a backyard playground too!. The plastic components are non-rusting with no sharp edges that can cause injury. All kids love the slide best of all playground equipment; having their own to play on makes your own yard the most appealing play area in the neighborhood. We can offer affordable pricing because we are a small internet business with no overhead. See what’s available today at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

The benefits of Wooden Toys in a Child’s Life!
Your child’s development can fundamentally be effected by his/her early year’s creative play. Wooden toys are in fact very beneficial in enhancing the creativity of the child since it doesn’t offer many examples in comparison to a plastic or an electronic toy.
According to the experts, the children who involve themselves in creative play, tends to do much better in every aspect of their lives when they grow older. They do extremely well in regard to academic matters but also emotionally, physically and socially.
Playing is quite vital for a child’s learning as well as emotional development. It provides a large range of benefits to the child. It offers the children some joy and fun, helps develop the personality of a child and makes them realize their talents and they will experience the satisfaction that is obtained from success. Play opens them to imagination, creativity and helps little ones develop reading, speech, problem solving, thinking and fine motor skills.
Wooden toys have a great role to play in encouraging a child’s sensory development like hearing, touch and sight. Brightly colored and multi sensory toys made of wood are ideal ones for babies. Wooden blocks help infants to distinguish between two different objects, thereby developing their sensory precept of sight. As they grow older, they try grasping objects that are eye-catching. Thus smooth-edged, easy to catch and colorful wood toys are the best ones for children to play with.
Toddlers and infants as part of their sensational development taste almost everything that is within their reach. This is the reason why smooth, non-toxic and durable wooden toys are important for children. Simple wood toys like wooden animal puzzles, wooden trains and wooden blocks serve a lot of functions. They relate to simple things which the child can recognize very easily and as a result encourage creative play. You can see different stages of development because each baby uses the same wood toy in a different way.
Toys, which boost up creative play, are important for a child’s emotional and social development. Simple as well as superior quality wooden toys are actually a life-long investment because children can use them for many years.
To get the best quality wooden toys for your little one, check out Amish Furniture Crafts. We offer a nice range of wooden playthings that include toddler toys, wooden instruments, wooden puzzles and much more.

Playsets that offer your child a wide range of activities in their own yards provide many advantages Parents easily see where their kids are and that they are safe. It’s easy to encourage and help them in physical activities. Any play set, big or small, can be easily added to as your toddler grows and develops to add years of useful life to your purchase. Toys are the tools of children’s play and influence that play. Toys and play sets that add to children’s natural ability to engage in imaginative, meaningful play and allows them to try out their own ideas and solve their own problems are the best choice. However, many toys rob children of the opportunity to use their own imagination, creativity, and problem solving skills. Kits for Toddlers play systems come in lots of fun sizes and can be made into any kind of shape your kid desires – maybe a fire truck today and a space ship tomorrow. The kits are easy to assemble by anyone who can use a screwdriver. Your toddler’s sense of self esteem will be enhanced as he or she gets stronger, develops motor skills and their imagination. The birth of the Marble!
The history of marbles and games involving the use of marbles goes back perhaps before modern civilization. However, these first old marbles were found throughout the world and show how far reaching the appeal of the simple marble is.
The first old handmade marbles consisted of different materials depending on what was available, who was using them and what they were actually used for. Typically, various basic stones, rocks and clay were used for marbles.
These old marbles and their styles remained essentially unchanged until fairly modern terms. It was in Germany in the mid 19th century - 1848 to be exact - that the first marble scissors were invented and put into use. These were created by a glass blower and were a mold to be used to create glass marbles. Thus the glass marble was born and the popularity of marbles continued to spread.
At this point however the glass marbles still had to be made from hand and molds. It was not until World War I that glass marbles were made in large amounts from machinery, stemming from the shortage of marbles due to the war itself.
Of course today glass marbles are the most popular and the most prevalent. Swirl marbles feature many colors and a swirl design. There are also other types of marbles used today such as mica marbles, while the old homemade marbles and vintage marbles are rare and hard to find. There are thought to be literally just several people left in the world making marbles by hand today.
Come visit us at Amish Furniture Crafts and check out the nice selection of handmade marble rollers rollers and marble flippers, handcrafted by an Amish Craftsman that we carry.

Toys have enhanced play value when they can be used in many ways, and allow the children themselves to be in charge of their play. Being in charge of their play means they decide the rules and what the game is. A playset that can change when their imagination dictates something new is invaluable. This kind of playset appeals to toddlers and young children at more than one age or developmental level. It’s something that can also be easily used with other kinds of toys for more interesting and complex choices. Our playsets do more than just provide an area to make noise and have fun, although they do that amazingly well, they help toddlers learn and develop new skills and interests as it promotes healthy non-stereotypical interactions among children.

Preparing your child for school is an important step in their lives. However there are many ways to give them a learning advantage with wooden puzzles. Children can learn a great deal from wooden puzzles, and it can encourage them to learn on their own.
Having the desire for independent learning is one of the most powerful advantages that your child can have. In order to encourage this at a early age you should give them puzzles. The earlier in their lives you start to challenge them, the more they benefit from it. The level of the puzzle should be determined by how advanced they are.

Classic toys have always been the favorites of parents. We love the nostalgia of seeing our children play with the same things that we did. Simple toys, like the hula hoop, balls, and yo-yos have been consistently popular through many decades. These classics go through waves of popularity and always hold a special place in many people’s hearts.
Lately, parents have been shying away from electronic toys. They feel like it’s time to get back to the basics. Wooden toys are great for passing down to the next generation, or reselling when a child has outgrown them. Wooden trains, blocks and puzzles are among the most popular wooden toys. Wooden doll houses and doll furniture are also the favorites of many children.

The fact is that we are all out of shape and overweight. The US is becoming the most obese nation in the world. The saddest part about this is that we are passing our bad habits intact on to our children. Toddlers learn by imitating what they see in the world around them. If you decide to get down on the floor and do a fewpush-ups, your toddler is right there to join in. Adults believe that because kids are young they are really active. Sadly this is not the case. Your toddler spends 89% of his day sitting down. Add this to the time at home spent in front of the TV or playing electronic games and you can see that children are becoming at risk for adult-type health hazards younger and younger. having a playset designed specifically for toddlers provides them a safe envoronment to get more activity while having lots of fun. The playset is right in their own yard or basement and can become anything they want it to be. Adding pieces makes it easy to enlarge as well as adding more room for more kids to interact. My First Quadro is featured here to show an exciting starting place for all the developmental needs of your young child. A little history of the wooden Rocking Horse!
The making of horses into children’s toys was considered to be a pastime for a quite a long time based on hundreds of years. It is acknowledged that hobby horses existed in Persia and ancient Greece at around 400 BC. Even in the 1300’s, as the Age of Chivalry was at its peak, there were wheeled horses to re-enact jousting games for children. By the mid of nineteenth century, many pull-along horses were manufactured in England, Europe and America.
The arrival of the rocking horse as the earliest products was half-moon shaped with boarded sides and log body between the rockers. It had a very naive head. It is assumed that the structure was inspired from baby cradles. The earliest rocking horse that is acknowledged to be still in existence is believed to be a belonging of King Charles I since it dates from C1610. This sort of rocking horse was constructed through many centuries with various heads and bodies that look sophisticated, and were flamboyantly painted and carved.

During the first couple of years of a toddler’s life there is no difference between learning and play. When a child plays they use their body as well as senses, emotions, language and imaginations. This mix helps their learning and development. The physical, social and intellectual development of children is dependent upon activity. Because play involves physical activity it is closely related to the development of children’s fine motor skills and their body awareness. Your kids can be more physically active with an indoor playset or a play structure for the backyard. Physical activity makes healthier kids. A toddler play unit like My First Quadro stirs the imagination with its ability to be easily changed into several different forms with no more tools than a screwdriver. Kids love its bright colors and it is small enough to fit in the bedroom, family room, basement and even outdoors. The sturdy construction materials stand up to years of rough play and are easy to clean. These playsets can grow as your child does – pieces can be added any time at very reasonable cost. We offer many choices to fit any room or yard at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Every year many kids are treated in emergency rooms for toy related injuries. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission monitors and regulates toys for safety. Important features for playsets and toys are flame retardant fabrics, washable lead-free painted surfaces and non-toxic materials. For toddlers age 2-5 the recommendations are for a toy or playset to be sturdy enough to withstand pulling and twisting, to avoid thin plastics that may twist or can break into small pieces and leave jagged edges. When you purchase a safe playset the next important thing to remember is to make sure your child knows how to use it. The best way of doing this is supervising play. The playsets we offer have excellent visibility from all angles. They are safe too - stable, non-toxic, no sharp edges and won’t split. Clear panels and netting for easy viewing from all directions We offer playsets that fit the abilities of your toddler in every price range and size. http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

It’s tougher to raise kids today than it was even 10 years ago. Parents need to be more concerned about diet and exercise as well as kids’ safety and development. There are many articles in the news and on TV telling us about childhood obesity. The design of our playsets offers plenty of visibility so parents can supervise activity. We have many options for a great playset for your home or yard at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

The average child today gets less than 15 minutes of vigorous activity a day. Obesity is up 36% in the past 20 years – today’s child is less fit and more fat than we were when we were toddlers. Indoors or outdoors, playsets for children can take many forms – climbing units, toys with slides or simple water platform toys. A lot of parents want to prepare their kids before preschool with academic preparation. Equally important is the child’s physical readiness by staring to build healthy living habits. Giving our children easy access to a healthier lifestyle is a major concern for today’s parents. Our kids have become too sedentary. They sit all day in school, they sit in front of the TV and computer, and they sit and play electronic games. Little kids need places to play to encourage active play rather than another stationary activity. Once children begin to regularly add fitness activities to their daily lives, they are more likely to reduce the risks of obesity or diabetes. A playset designed to offer every age child their own special place to play and climb and just be active makes how to get more exercise fun and simple. Statistics keep rising for adult obesity, overweight and related diseases. It is known that treating adult obesity begins with prevention, and prevention of adult obesity begins in childhood. It is disturbing to realize that the high-fructose apple doesn’t fall far from the family tree. TV programs have recently shown us that unhealthy nutrition produces fat families. But even the best diet without increasing exercise can be hard work with no fun. Little kids need their ‘own’ play space. Toddlers have unique needs because they have not deveoped a full lrange of skills or muscles. Kids aged 2-5 generally are not aware of all the dangers and risks they can face playing in a public park for example. At this age, they tend to be less coordinated than older kids and play better and safer with children their own age. This is why our playsets can offer a wide range of systems appropriate for any age group. For the youngest children these playsets are easy to get around on with no worries of getting ‘run over’ by bigger kids. Obesity caused by hormones or genetics is rare. Most cases of obesity are simply caused by poor diet and not enough exercise. In one American state the statistics are that 36% of the boys and 43% of girls are considered overweight. Being overweight contributes to children suffering from diseases that usually afflict adults. Of course any parent would do whatever is necessary for the health and well-being of their children. A good way to help them is to see to it that they get more physical activity starting young so it continues throughout their lives. Our adventure play equipment provides indoor or outdoor play areas to help develop a healthy lifestyle and give them the tools to help kids get more exercise while having a lot of fun as well. You can choose from Small Construction Kits for toddlers to Large Play Sets for bigger kids.

Perhaps you watched on TV last night and saw the new program featuring Jamie Oliver, challenging the people of Huntington, WV to provide a healthier diet for their children. Michelle Obama also has enjoined the crusade to fight childhood obesity by improving school lunches. We are allowing our children to become overwiehgt and inactive which is endangering every facet of their health. Jamie Oliver says that what children eat while they are young sets the pattern for their whole life. Fitness habits formed at a young age also become lifelong routines. Kids want to be active, to climb and play. Providing a playset where they can decide what game they feel like playing today means a play set that never gets boring. Providing a play set that can change every day and grow with your child as they grow means that every day kids activity level grows with them too. Our playsets go from toddler sets to giant climbing jungle gyms - see them all at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Toys can be used for more than the obvious ways. We should allow our children to be in charge of the play. The best toys appeal to children at more than one age or level of development. Playsets and toys that will stand the test of time and continue to be part of everyday play as your children develop new interests and skills are ideal. As adults, we are becoming more aware of the need to be sure that the first of those new abilities is developing the lifelong habit of being more fit; an active child is a healthy child. At the same time they are playing - climbing on a playset, hanging by their knees seeing what the world looks like upside down - your children are also exercising. We have play sets that offer any child a play place keyed to their size and ability and gets them moving, and that is able to grow as your child grows. It‘s easy to add pieces to expand the play set anytime with simple tools. Have a look at our great selection at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Mrs. Obama has enjoined the fight against childhood obesity. The essence of what she has said is the key to reducing childhood obesity is to eat better and GET MORE EXERCISE. Nine out of parents think their kids are fit, but in reality only one in three is. Parents are constantly faced with big decisions when it comes to which toys or playsets to buy and which to avoid. Toys have enhanced play value when they can be used in many ways, allow children to be in charge of the play and also stand the test of time and continue to be part of play as children develop new interests and skills. We offer playsets that can do all that and offer them the chance to get more exercise without even knowing they are becoming more fit! Play should be fun, after all. There are so many options to choose from at http://www.safetyswimandplay you simply have to see them all for yourselves.

Tiny kids are tough to keep up with, so they MUST be super active. Surprisingly, no. A recent study found that preschoolers don’t move around so much; in fact, 89% of their daytime activity was sitting Nine out of ten parents think their child is fit, but in reality only one out of three really is. The average US child spends 20% of his/her time watching TV. It’s no surprise to find out that childhood obesity is up 36% in the past 20 years. All kids should get at least 60 minutes of active play every day - all at once or over the course of the day. Indoor/outdoor play sets can be a fun way to provide the exercise that kids need in a play unit that also inspires imaginative play, teaches sharing with others, and develops muscular coordination in the safety of the child’s room, basement, or backyard. Many varied choices are available from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com.

Younger children need safe play spaces that are more keyed to their size and stage of development. Children aged 2-5 have not yet developed a full range of skills or muscles and tend to be less coordinated than older kids. They thrive with a playset designed for their safety while playing and keeps the young kids from being overrun or excluded by older ones. Children at this age play better and more safely with children their own age and a playset that calls the entire neighborhood to come join in is ideal. We offer playsets that are specifically designed for the ultimate fun and safety for tots and toddlers under 5 years of age. Be assured these indoor/outdoor play structures can grow with your child and adapt to any future need when you add new parts. It’s all completely DIY too!

The newspapers yesterday featured the latest article on children’s’ health and fitness –Michelle Obama is declaring war on childhood obesity. One of the things Mrs. Obama said was “This is like a disease we’re fighting…We know the cure for this’. In essence, she was saying the key to beating childhood obesity is better diet and exercise. Giving them an indoor/outdoor playset is one clever way to start them out right with exercise that’s really fun and doesn’t feel a bit like it’s good for you. The kids can do whatever they want on the playsets, while parents can supervise easily. The Snapper features a slide, goes perfectly well in the swimming pool by adding ballast or on the backyard, in brilliant colors in non-rusting, non-splintering high quality UV stabilized thermoplastic which simply means no one gets hurt! It seems like everywhere you look today there’s discussion about children’s health and fitness. The concern is growing because we’ve created a lifestyle which encourages all of us to sit – in front of the TV, in front of the computer, in front of the Play Station. It isn’t easy to encourage healthier living today but instilling good heart-healthy habits lessens your kids risk of developing grown-up type health issues at an early age. That’s not to say that playsets from http://www.safetyswimandplay.com are the ideal ‘exercise equipment’, but these backyard playsets DO get children up from the couch and using their imaginations instead of pushing buttons. Starting toddlers and young children off on the right foot to a lifelong habit of exercise – while disguising it as play! The design of our playsets offers plenty of visibility so parents can supervise activity to make sure kids are safe and provides the opportunity for vital parental interaction.

The importance of creative play in early childhood cannot be over emphasized. Young children will play with anything – kitchen pots, plastic bottles or the box an expensive toy came in rather than the toy itself. A toy doesn’t have to cost a lot of money in order for it to be the best thing for your child.. The most creative playthings are the ones that inspire their own imaginations. If you are considering a playset for your toddlers or young children, let it be one that lets them choose what it can be – a play structure that can adapt to what they feel like being today: a pirate, a race car driver, even a mountain climber! Our playsets and pool toys have so many creative play options, up or down, slides, drop-holes, hiding spaces and many more. Who can say what kind of adventure your child will come up with? I just read some startling statistics – 33% of Michigan girls and 34% of the boys are considered overweight. The national average is 29%. And 36% of Michigan’s boys and girls have elevated cholesterol levels which is 11-18% higher that the U.S. average. Plus these same kids have high blood pressure and these numbers are this high because of the sedentary lifestyle of the average child today. And these numbers are for only one state! The best thing we can do for our kids to help them develop a healthy lifestyle is give them the tools to help them get more exercise. When your kids start out early with our playsets a fitter child is almost a side effect of playing, having fun and using their imaginations as well. These playsets can ‘grow’ with your child as you start small and add-on to the playset as the kids get bigger. There are so many options: from one simple playset – up/down, slides, drop-holes, hiding places and more check out our playsets at http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

Nine million American children are at increased risk of social marginalization as well as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and many other illnesses due to overweight. Something CAN be done to help our kids live healthier lives – and it’s as simple as encouraging them to get more exercise. Having their own place to play can do so much to foster the beginnings of a lifelong habit. My First Quadro is a great start because our play sets are designed to “grow” with your child starting with infants. They work as an outdoor playset or indoor playground. As children get older, the way the play structure components are simply re-assembled or adapted to meet the new demands for age-appropriated learning or play activities. Genetic and hormonal causes of obesity are rare. Among children who are obese at 6 years old, the probability that obesity will persist exceeds 50%; 70% - 80% of adolescents who are obese will remain so as adults. You can make it easy for kids to start a life of fitness with playsets that offer varied and challenging activity spaces for young children. Children under 5 years old need their own play area – play is better and safer with children their own age. Little kids have not yet developed a full range of skills & muscles and tend to be less coordinated than older kids. Our adventure play equipment can be used indoors or outdoors, are feature simple DIY assembly, also is a safe and stable play and climbing toy. ADA approved. http://www.safetyswimandplay.com

The average child gets less than 15 minutes of vigorous activity a day. Obesity is up 36% in the past 20 years – today’s child is less fit and more fat than the child of the 60’s. Indoors or outdoors, playsets for children can take many forms – castles, forts, cars – or just simple climbing toys. Play Centers can provide you with play sets like The Georgia as safe fun for as many as 4 toddlers aged 2-5, featuring varied and challenging activity design possibilities. If you are looking for an outdoor playset and/or indoor play equipment, you’ll love these wonderful play houses – not to mention the playsets completely DIY assembly! All our systems have been designed to help develop muscles plus they are really easy to use by most kids with ‘special needs’ of all types. A playset like this can start your kids off on the right path for a lifetime habit of exercise and fitness.

Wooden Trains; No matter what generation you belong too, you will always find similarities with the toy trains played by each generation. Take for an example toy trains, there are so many available and the kids love almost each kind. There are wooden trains, electric trains and many more. For some, they even enjoy putting train tracks in their room.
Maintaining these toy trains depend on what their material is. Most of the time, just wiping them with a clean towel to remove dust is enough. Also, try to keep the trains in a safe place so that they will have a longer lifespan. In addition, it is nice to pass such treasured possessions to the next generations knowing that this is already a quality heirloom item.
Wooden trains are perhaps the easiest to make, because there is plenty of wood. Just use your imagination and you will be able to fine your own version of a train that’s fits your own personally made from wood. Some are varnished or painted witch can change the look of the train you choose. You can even get personalized ones by adding up some accessories or designs to make it come alive.
Come and visit us at Amish Furniture Crafts and check the heirloom quality Amish handmade wooden trains and train sets we offer.

They cannot simply trade the entertainment provided by this board game to that of the now becoming popular technologically advanced gadgets. Many families especially in the United States and some parts of Europe still stick to the fun that this game provides them.

Some sources say that the rocking horse first made its appearance in the 17th century, possibly as a tool to begin to teach young children how to ride. It wasn’t until two centuries later, during the Victorian era, that rocking horses became the toy of young aristocrats.
Queen Victoria was the woman responsible for making the rocking horse famous. She had given her children dapple-gray rocking horses. Once the rocking horse obtained the young royal seal of approval, everyone had to have a dapple-gray rocking horse. At first, only the wealthy could afford these state-of-the-art toys. They were hand crafted in small numbers until the industrial age hit and mass production made the rocking horse available to the public.
Why not come and visit us and look at large selection of Amish handmade rocking horses we carry. And by selecting a rocking horse for the young aristocrats in your family, you could run a huge risk of making them some very happy little aristocrats.

Kids 2-3 years old are learning to master basic movements like walking, running, kicking and throwing. They’re naturally active, so be sure to provide lots of opportunities for your child to practice and build on these skills. The Seahorse can be used for activites in the pool and in the yard or basement. Kids who are active at a young age tend to stay active throughout their lives - maintaining healthy weight and decrease risk of serious illnesses.
