Teach Your Children to Reach Out to Others

Fire Truck History by Mufstuf
The first mechanical fire apparatus utilized in America to apply water to a fire was a hand pumper built in England and shipped to New York in the 1700’s.
In the 1800’s steam pumpers built in England and shipped to America became the standard to apply water to a fire. These were pulled to a fire by horses or firemen.

It Was Never Like This When I Was Young!
When I was a child I had a toy cash register that I played with constantly. I loved to get someone to “buy” from me so I could open the cash register to give them the change. I loved to sort the money into the correct slots and I felt so important when I finished my transaction, the cash register closed and the money was safe. I felt like a real teller!
Today things are different! Look at the Teaching Cash Register by Learning Resources! This one can actually talk….and there are four featured games built in that teach coin recognition, addition, subtraction and place value. These games increase in difficulty as the children grow and learn. What a great way to learn and re-enforce Math skills taught at school.

What is it about baby Baby Slings that have made them so popular lately?
Two of the main reasons for recent increases in sling sales are an increase in mobility for the parents and a decrease in crying and general fussing for the infants.
With the baby in the sling, parents have both arms free to do chores around the home, get through the grocery store quickly, and even have a nice dinner out – all while cradling their baby in a loving and healthy manner.

Do you have a child that has a hard time getting dressed in the morning? Does he seem to be all hands? Imagine if he had a toy that he enjoyed that would help him practice what he needs.
Is your child independant? Have you heard “I can do it myself!” more times than you can count even when he needs instruction?
The pressure children are under when it is time to get dressed in a hurry is not the time to teach him these skills. Give him a toy where he can practice during play time.
