There are many good reasons to buy a wooden toy over a plastic one. Several studies have indicated that plastics and vinyl used in toys are toxic over long-term use. Before I ventured into my teenage years, I played for hours with construction toys.
I had a lot of fun getting all-over muddy, much to Mom’s aggravation.

In relations to the finishes on wooden toys these days our vocabulary has changed. For instance, a “natural finish” meant a clear finish which showed off the natural beauty of the wood. Today, a “natural finish” is now defined by its ingredients, and it doesn’t have to be transparent. Low-slung radio control race cars don’t work very well at the campground. Neither do miniature RC monster trucks.
The ground is so rough that they drag bottom and hang up.
The big RC models work fine. The remote control monster trucks most especially. And there’s a field less than a hundred yards from the camper just right for my helicopter. I can stand out there and fly all day, stopping for battery recharge of course.

Learning how to steer an RC vehicle
probably comes easier to someone who doesn’t drive yet.
Why?
After you drive for a while your steering reflexes become automatic. To go left, you turn the wheel left. To go right, you turn the wheel right. It’s the same with backing up.

The biggest limitation you face during your RC playtime is battery power.
Seems like just when you get into the relaxation and pleasure of steering that remote control model around, the batteries go dead. You must delay your fun while you charge them back up, or you make a run to the hardware store for a fresh supply.
Stocking power pro-actively sure beats the necessity of making a run for a fresh supply every time a battery goes dead…

Safety First!
When looking for a Toy box, or any toy for that matter, the number one thing to consider is safety. Don’t rush into radio control helicopter flying. That action often leads to disaster.
Mastering RC helo flight takes learning and practice. These aircraft require control techniques that apply to no other RC vehicle. They’re easy to crash, and easily break when they do crash.
I recommend starting slow and low until you learn…

For first-time radio control pilots taking to the air in an RC plane or RC helicopter often becomes a scary step.
If you’ve never flown before you put out the money for a radio control aircraft only to watch it go into an uncontrolled dive, lose the rc signal, or run out of power…and watch it crash and burn.

Toys, toys and more toys for our children, nephews, grandchildren and of course adult children, you could find a few unique ones on our website. Like Scale RC Cars with eight different Scales of RC Cars to choose from. We have some really Fast RC Cars like our RC Formula 1 Racing Car, 1:8 scale with speeds around 15 mph/hr.

Last Christmas one of our 6 year old grandsons gifts was a remote control helicopter.

Amish Rocking Horses are handcrafted and of the finest quality. Last Christmas a Southwest Amish Rocking Horse came galloping into our living room. Our 2 & 1/2 year old daughter rides her rocking horse hard. No trotting around for this young one, she gallops where ever she goes.
