Not only does regular exercise help with weight loss but it also reduces your risk for several chronic diseases and conditions. Finding activities that you enjoy and that can become part of your daily routine is the key to a long and healthy life. A combination of aerobic exercise (the type that makes you breathe harder like walking or jogging) for cardiovascular conditioning; strength training (such as lifting weights) for muscle toning; and stretching is recommended to improve your range of motion. Baby Boomers: those of us who were born in the decade or so following the end of World War II, make up the largest population demographic in the history of the world.
