The Red Cross was founded May 21, 1881 by Clara Barton in Washington D.C. She was the first president of the foundation. April is Pet Awareness Month
Our pets are our family. They go where we go. We want to protect them at all times. How can we protect them in case of emergency? It’s cold and dark out

A New Rechargeable LED Flashlight From Clearwater

How do I help keep my family secure, without spending a bunch of money?

It’s hot out
It seems I’ve been waiting for warm weather all year, now it has gone from being cold and wet to being hot. I don’t know about you, but when it’s dark I usually feel a little uncomfortable. What is happening in our world?
If you have been watching the news lately you may have noticed that everywhere you look there is some type of problem going on. Everything from the earthquakes and tsunami last month in Japan to the terrible weather we have been experiencing here in the heartland of the USA. My point is not to scare anyone, it is only to help all of us get into the mindset of being better prepared. Streamlight Flashlights
Why would I spend the money to purchase a Streamlight Flashlight when I can find no name flashlights down the street at the local discount department store for a fraction of the cost? A reasonable question and for the uninformed shopper, a learning point that might be a little painful if I am looking at merely the dollars and cents of a flashlight. The weather today was frightening
Today was one of those days when the weather was unstable to say the least. While at work there was a tornado warning, so we were all huddled in the cafeteria when the lights went out. The wind was howling, the rain was sideways and it was real dark, tornado’s were reported in the area. When it was over and we were allowed to go back to work the lights were still off, we had lost power along with many others in the area. First thing I needed to do, along with some others, was go to the bathroom. What a surprise when we realized that they forgot to put emergency lights in the bathroom. It sure is a good thing that I always carry a
small LED flashlight . I was happy and so were my co workers. Once we were ready to return to work, we again needed my little flashlight, because we were still in the dark and we needed to check the building for damage. Your fingerprint is scanned again time that you attempt entry and compared with the saved print data stored in the system. If the prints match, you are immediately given access to the home. To allow others access, just add their prints to the system. When you no longer require their entry, you can simply remove their print from the system.

The new fingerprint locks are great for indoor use and may also be used outdoors with appropriate accessories or sheltering overhang but should not be directly exposed to extreme weather. You may notice other locks for sale that we don’t sell. We have tried many of them and most just don’t work well or hold up very well. Until they improve we just don’t feel comfortable selling them.

What is Pepper Spray made of?
Pepper Spray is a derivative of Cayenne pepper. The oils are extracted from the pepper using a high pressure process. Rocky the grizzly bear is seen at the Forever Wild animal sanctuary in Phelan, Calif. in Nov. 2007. The grizzly bear which appeared in a recent Will Ferrell movie killed a 39-year-old trainer with a bite to his neck Tuesday April 22, 2008 and had to be subdued with pepper spray.
The animal bit the man on the neck. He died at the site near Big Bear Lake.

A 700-pound grizzly bear attacked and killed a Canyon Country man Tuesday at a compound near Big Bear Lake that trains wild animals for movies and television work, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said. For unknown reasons, the bear lunged at 39-year-old Stephan Miller, a trainer at Randy Miller’s Predators in Action, about 3 p.m. and bit him in the neck, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindy Beavers. Two other trainers subdued the 5-year-old, 7 1/2 -foot-tall grizzly with pepper spray and were unhurt, Beavers said. The Predators in Action website says the bear appears in the recent WiIl Ferrell movie “Semi-Pro.” Miller, cousin of Randy Miller, was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s spokeswoman said. Attempts to reach Randy Miller, who is also a stuntman, were not successful. The Predators in Action website says it has the “best trained grizzly bears in the business today. “Beavers said all three trainers were experienced. They were working with the grizzly in a secured outdoor area when the attack occurred, she said. She added that officials from Cal OSHA and the state Department of Fish and Game were investigating, and it was not immediately known what would happen to the bear. Fish and Game spokesman Harry Morse said its patrol chief knew of no safety violations at Predators in Action. He said the department’s main task with such companies is to make certain the animals are well treated. “This is a commercial venture,” he said of Predators in Action. “It’s part of the entertainment industry.” Morse said a preliminary examination of the sprawling compound later Tuesday found nothing unusual.

There are State Regulations involving pepper spray. The states that are restricted are Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington D.C. and Wisconsin.
