Small Wooden Storage Chest
The small wooden storage chest made by Charlie’s Woodshop in Michigan is based on an antique version with a brass hasp just like in the original. With the capability of being locked, it is a nice small chest for keepsakes or collectables. We offer real Amish handcrafted decor. Planters are available in a wide variety of shapes and styles, which makes it a synch to find one that will perfectly fit into your space. Like, maybe you just want to add some nice accent touches throughout your space, then ones with a nice round or triangular design would be the way to go since they will easily fit in any corner or in between furnishings.

At Scented Candles by Cathy, we have added another candle display to our site. This is a real cute display. We call it our 3 Candle Candy Cane Display. We used the 3 Pack Pillar Gift Set – Holiday candles and we centered the Peppermint Pillar Candle in the tray. You can use any tray that is festive, red really works for this display. We then took whole candy canes and broke them into pieces. We used the whole candy canes to border the front of the display. You can use as many as you want. To elevate the two candles in the back, we took a 10” x 5” x 3” piece of Styrofoam and wrapped it in snow fabric, the kind with the glitter. You can place the candle display in the center of a Christmas Card display or you could use festive winter holly. We will continue to add pictures of Christmas displays for the month of December. We decided to offer something different to our customers, something unique. Every week, we are going to add a photo to our site of a candle display. Yesterday, we added a picture of a display using our 6” tall pillar candles. We had some inquiries about how we put together the basket display.
The basket can be any size or any shape. Cut a piece of styrofoam that will fit in the bottom of the basket. I like to cut a thick piece because it will keep the ivy more secure. I also like to put a plastic liner in the basket, but that is not necessary. I take the long pieces of ivy and secure the ends in the foam. You can put as much or as little ivy as you want. Then, add your pieces of holly. I usually buy the longer stems and then cut them in the lengths that work for the display using wire cutters. After you have finished putting the ivy and the holly into the basket, you can add finishing touches like pine cones or berries. You can find these at a hobby store. When you are done with the basket, just arrange your candles around the basket, using pillars or votives.

Tip of the day : Caring for your Micro Fiber Cloth!
Wash and reuse 100s of times!
To preserve your towel simply wash in mild soapy water, rinse well and hang to dry. The towel is also machine washable in warm water and a mild non-bleach detergent. (May also be hand washed.) Permanent press dryer setting recommended. This material should be washed separately as it tends to accumulate lint from other fabrics. (Use mesh bag.) Never use bleach, fabric softeners or dryer sheets: they will coat the product limiting its effectiveness.
Note: Dark colors may slightly bleed with first few washes. Recommend that dark color towels be washed first before using.

Simplify Your Cleaning
To make your cleaning easier reduce the amount of cleaning products inturn saving the natural resources and your hard earned money. The most important thing is that you save time and reduce the amount of cleaning required.
First, form the habit to incorporate preventive maintenance. Put a cookie sheet on the rack under a casserole that is likely to spill over, for example, which pre-empts the need to scour baked on food from the oven. If the casserole spills, the cookie sheet can be effortlessly soaked clean in a few inches of water in the kitchen sink.
Also keep in mind the adage “A stitch in time saves nine,” which means if you take that first stitch to fix the tear before it gets bigger, you’ll save having to make nine stitches later. In cleaning, this translates to wiping up the spill when it happens, cleaning surfaces before they are caked with dust and grease, just cleaning as you go while there’s not much to clean. It’s only when we don’t clean that we may need harsh chemicals to tackle what would have been an easy job earlier.
